my appt!
I had my appointment this morning. Talked with the doctor - I really liked him!
Here's our plan.
I need to have the basic tests run before starting anything. I'm going in for blood work tomorrow. And then we have to wait until my next cycle to run the HSG test (I'll be on vacation when that test needs to be run this cycle). Those combined are pretty costly, so hopefully everything comes back clear and it'll just be a one time thing.
Then, he feels pretty confident that we can do a natural IUI. They wouldn't put me on any drugs, and try that a couple times. However, if the sample he gives for the IUI isn't good enough, we have to go straight to IVF.
If his samples are okay, we will try the natural, if that doesn't work, then possibly try a few medicated cycles (depending on cost). Then to IVF.
A natural IUI is only about $500.. which is better than we thought. So that's good. We will probably start that next cycle right after the HSG!
I'm so relieved to have a doctor I feel comfortable with & a plan! I only talked to DH on the phone for a minute to give him a quick summary. Hopefully he thinks its good news too!
