Cruise

Please recommend a cruise line that will not be filled with college kids on spring break?

Re: Cruise

  • id expect that unless you go to the high end ones (seabourn or the like) they will all probably have kids for caribbean/bahamas etc... probably european/asian etc... for longer than a week wil have less.
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • If you are going on cruise over spring break there will be kids since they will be out of school.  I agree with pp that the higher end lines will have fewer kids though.  If you want to make sure to avoid them, cruise during the school year :)
  • Also, if you cruise farther from Caribbean you'll probably see a lot fewer spring breakers.  Hawaii, the Panama Canal, or Europe, Asia, etc. won't have the same kind of spring break crowds.

  • We cruised with Princess and hardly seen any but yes it you want a hot destination Panama Canal and Hawaii will have less then the other routes.
  • Holland America tends to have an older population, but even then you never know what you're going to get until you board the ship.  Your best bet is to just avoid spring break time.

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
