New to the nest!
Hi all! This is my first post on this board. I've been a member of the knot for a while but decided to explore over here. I got married in July 2011 and my husband and I are in the process of buying a house in Cumberland! We currently live in Westerly. Look forward to "meeting" you all!

Congratulations on your new (almost) home! My sister is in Cumberland, and my husband grew up there. Great town.

What made you choose Cumberland? Do you like living in Westerly? My DH and I would love to move out to Westerly or Richmond someday.
Thanks! I do love Westerly. It is a great town and I love the beach, but DH got a promotion at work and is currently commuting to MA every day. It takes him 1 1/2 hours each way and the commute is too much so we chose Cumberland based on some recommendations. We wanted to stay in RI so we compromised. It will cut his commute to about a half hour.

Welcome!! I am not the newest newbie anymore lol. This board is pretty small but I think everyone here is great. Unlike some other boards, everyone is helpful, kind and willing to listen!
I live in Cumberland, and have lived there (expcet for college and a few years after) since i was in 5th grade, so I can give you plenty of reccomendations. Where abouts in Cumberland are you moving? I live in Ashton Mill on the bike path and I grew up off diamond hill road, up towards wrentham. IT's a great town. I went to middle school there (NCMS) and it is a great school district if you are thinking about having kids!
Where in MA does your husband work? it's great his commute is shorter. I used to work in Boston and my commute was almost 2 hrs from cumberland so it was really hard on me..but now I am in providence.
Anyway- enough about me! Welcome to the board, glad to see a new face
