Post Your Awesome Accomplishments!

Stolen from another board but I thought we could use a mid week positive pick me up. Plus it is cool to see all the amazing things others can accomplish. It can be anything from personal wins to work related at any point in your life, not just recent..

  • I am 4 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight.  Everything is VERY soft still...but I am doing body weight workouts with DH at night and I am noticing a big difference!

  • Found out I passed my 3 hr glucose test yesterday and I am still super psyched about it.

  • I finished the individual squares for my first quilt and will begin piecing it all this week. It's so time consuming, I hope it is worth it!

  • It feels good to toot your own horn without judgement once in a while...

short term- I am up to running five mile stretches, will be attempting six this weekend and keep building till I get to ten, I still cannot believe I can run more than a block without stopping, honestly, never thought I would be where I am now when I started this back in May.

long term- T1 is going to be 12 soon, I pat myself on the back every year that I survived another year of parenthood. Having him so young was the hardest thing I have ever done and knowing that we are both happy and healthy twelve years later is pretty damn awesome.

  • When DH and I first moved in together, I was such a shiit cook.  It was horrible.  And my eating habits were the absolute worst.  The past few years I've gotten my stuff together and have started eating healthier (albeit I still struggle with weight loss).  I am determined for my son to have better/healthier habits than I did throughout my childhood!  The other day I decided to revive my food blog.  Even something as innocuous as a food blog can make one feel a little vulnerable for putting themselves out there, but I'm doing it.
  • I've survived exclusively pumping for almost 6 weeks (every 2 hrs during the day and every 3-4 at night, for 20-30 mins). I had a very low supply with Oliver & it was a huge stress...I'm determined to make it work better this time around. I'm pumping a little more each day and I'm making just enough for graeme to eat. I'm not anti-formula (we used it with Oliver for over a year), but I'm proud of myself for being able to make enough for Graeme even if it's hard work.

Ps: lactation cookies and motherlove supplements also have helped!

  • Forbes is running a major piece on one of my clients tomorrow, which is a HUGE deal for them. Another one of my clients is being considered for a feature on a major network TV show. If it happens, it would be game-changing for the company. And I'd get all of the credit. Yay for me!
