What's everyone doing for Valentine's Day? DH and I are trying to figure out what we should do, but we don't have any creative ideas.

H works at a restaurant so he will obviously be working that night. We will probably do something the week after since I work all weekend. We're on a pretty strict budget right now, so I don't know what that will be. We do have $300 in gift certificates to the place he works so maybe we will just do that as it's not particularly hard to spend that much there. Too bad he doesn't get his 50% off if we use them though.
I do think my favorite V-day was our first one together. We were living down in the city, he worked and brought dinner form there. I made chocolate covered strawberries and set up a little corner of blankets and pillows in the living room next to the record player. It was really sweet.
we're not doing anything.
Vhati closes that night. I'll probably just make Vhati pasta bake and call it done because what I had originally wanted to do isn't really the best meal for a closing shift.
Meh.
We're going to cook a nice meal at home and just hang out. Maybe I'll try and get DH to watch a movie with me :-) I think we'll be grilling ribeyes! Yummy! I want to make a "fancy, elaborate" meal haha, but I'm not sure what else to make. I saw asparagus on sale this week, so I think I may pick some up right before the sale ends and do that. I'll probably do some kind of potato and something for dessert as well. DH will be in charge of anything that goes on the grill, and I'll do the other stuff.
I'm off on the 15th, so I don't have to go to bed early or anything! I'm only off the 15th because I have to work President's day, so the 15th is my "holiday". Actually works out well for me!
