I confess I wish my job was more like H's so that I could be off work as much as he is. I'm super jealous that he gets to stay home while I work. Plus I can think of about 50 things I need to be doing at home!
Re: Thursday Confessions
I was just talking to H who is home (he works construction..I think your H does too) and he's "so bored" I do feel a little bad, he's been home a bunch of days in the past few weeks and I think I'd get a little stir crazy, BUT I can think of a million things I'd love to be doing instead of being at work...even just being home to clean/do laundry would be nice!
My confession is that I havent actually cooked a real dinner in a long time...like weeks. We've either been ordering out or people have been bringing by food for us (especially in the past week)

I confess I can't WAIT to get into our own place and out of our friends basement. I can't express how grateful I am for their generosity, but living with them is making me crazy nuts. So I feel kind of trapped/ ungrateful/ just generally stressed ALL the time. Plus, it really makes it feel like we're just visiting SF and not actually living here.
Fortunately we applied for a place yesterday, so hopefully we can be out of here soooon.
H does work construction and they were so busy during Christmas and the 1st of the year and now it's like nothing. They had a job last week but that was it. H is so bored he hates being at home and personally I would rather be at home to get stuff done. But I make him do all the chores I can't do like laundry and dishes which is actually a big help for me.
I'm glad you have people who can help take care of you guys...
H isn't in construction, but he runs the family business. His parents are state away, so it's just him and I up here. Being the boss he can take time off, or work from pretty much anywhere, with little to no notice. He's been doing this for 10 years, so it's been quite the adjustment for him to realize that I can't do that. I work for a large company with time-off requests, and approvals, etc.
I can usually get the time off approved, I just need advance notice, which doesn't always vibe well with his family's fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants lifestyle.
My confession is that I took Tuesday off to babysit the electrician while he wired up our new hot tub. I confess that I did absolutely nothing productive on Tuesday, except bring the pup to the vet. I had a million things I wanted to do, but sat on the couch watching Dance Moms and L&O SVU pretty much all day.
