Re: What's on the menu this week?

  • I've got a cold, so I just planned a few easy things until I'm feeling better:

Superbowl food at a party tonight

    Breakfast for dinner

    Crockpot Lasagna from Prevention RD

BBQ Ranch Country Style Ribs in the crockpot

Indian simmer sauce (leftover from last week)

Leftover Pasta Fagioli soup from the weekend

Having a cold takes away my appetite, so I tried to plan things I knew I would eat.

    Anniversary
  • Sun  - superbowl food (pasta salad, green salad, crockpot pulled pork sandwiches)

    Mon - leftovers

Tue - finish leftovers, perhaps make a veggie side dish

Wed - salmon, rice and broccoli

    Thur - ??

    Fri - ??

    Sat -  ??

....?? is usually a 'open the fridge, see what we've got, and create something fantastic'  or as i like to call it "kitchen playtime"

     - i typically grocery shop with a semi-standard list of ingredients that i know i can make about 10-20 different healthy dishes from....so that helps!

  • Monday: Homemade pizza

Tuesday: tomato soup and tuna fish sandwiches

Wednesday: chicken fingers and roasted rutabega

Thursday: beef and vegetable soup and beer bread

    Friday: stuffed peppers
