Not much is new. Here's an updated picture from this morning. I have my next doctor's appointment this afternoon.
I got everything put away this weekend from my shower last weekend. My work shower is on Thursday. I also got my Thank you cards written this weekend. I figured I should get them done before I had twice as many to write. Oh and we got the car seat installed last night.
Sort of a funny story on the car seat situation. We got the Graco Snugride 30 car seat. It's a medium sized car seat. It holds a baby up to 30 lbs and 20 something inches. Some car seats go up to 35 pounds or 32 inches tall. Anyway, I picked it because it was within our budget, not super huge, and had great safety ratings. Lets just say DH kept commenting on how it must be the biggest car seat ever (which it is not). Our original plan was to sell my tiny two door Cobalt and have me drive DH's extended cab truck. Since I'm staying home we weren't worried about the gas mileage and his truck is paid off. But yeah, after installing the car seat, the passenger basically has their knees in the dashboard. It works to use on a daily basis but for long car trips, not so much. I've mentioned more than once in the last 9 months if not longer that maybe we should sell both his truck and my car and buy an SUV. We should be able to buy it outright with the proceeds from both our vehicles. He kept saying "if the truck doesn't work, then we will". So guess who started SUV shopping last night?
And to share the cuteness of my fur babies from this weekend:
Parker (our lap cat)
And Libby. She loves this bed.
Re: 35 weeks
Yay for the car situation. I hope that it works out for you. Glad to hear all that you got done this weekend and that things are still going well.
Love the pictures of the cats!
I'm glad you got the car seat installed. I'm also glad that you may end up with an SUV.
PS- You look great. Also, your cats are adorable. I wish I still had a kitty.
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
I'm excited about DH's turn around on the whole car situation. Man when he decides he wants to do something, he moves. I knew this but sometimes I forget how quickly. We went car shopping and test driving last night.
Thanks for the compliments. I feel huge some days and others I don't. But not in a bad way. The complicated part right now is my wardrobe. I don't want to buy anything new but the weather here is very spring. It's supposed to be 70 today. I don't want to go buy maternity clothes for just the new few weeks but my sweaters are way to hot. Hoping it cools down at least a little.
I also love our car seat. It's very gender neutral so I'm hoping to still use it for kid number 2. It's the Chadwick style Graco car seat and stroller.
Oh yeah, I forgot a few things.
Doctor's appointment went well yesterday. I'm measuring right on track for 35 weeks, heartbeat was good, my weight was good. I talked to the doctor about the crazy itchy skin I've been having. It started a few weeks ago. Not just the dry winter skin itch, this was crazy itchy. I'd scratch and it would hurt and just itch that much more. On my legs, arms, boobs. I never could see a rash but I even scratched my leg so much it's finally healing over. She said there is a condition you can develop at the end. Some long name I can't pronounce where your liver stops processing bile. If the bile builds up too much it can get into my blood stream and that's bad. So she had some blood taken yesterday. I'll find out today or tomorrow if that's what's happening. If it is, then it looks like I'll be induced at 37 or 38 weeks. Both my doctor and I think it's probably just allergies with all the spring weather in combination of the winter skin, but my doctor wanted to rule out everything else. The most common sign of this other thing is itchy palms and feet which I have had neither. So I think we're safe but she's double checking.
And I got the mobile!!! Thank you so much, Alyssa. It's so wonderful. And I love the No Frogs Only Princes for this LilyPad! That is adorable. I didn't get to hang it up yet since we went car shopping. But I'll hopefully get it up this week (tonight). DH thinks it's pretty cute too.
YAY! I am glad it got there, and so soon too!
I have been holding out on that saying for a long time now. I think it is so cute and works on so many levels with the princess theme.
was it Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy (PUPPS)? I had a friend who was extremely itchy during her pregnancy and that's what she had.
No, not PUPPS. I'd heard of this and honestly figured that was it. But I wanted to mention the itchiness to my doctor just in case. It starts with a C.
Edit: Found it! Cholestasis
Haha when you said "long name", I took that a little too close to heart :P
