Have you done your taxes yet? Do you think that you are getting a refund? Any plans for it?

Re: QOTD 2/6
Just got them done last night. Holy refund! We are getting a huge chunk back... and I'm changing my status to married so we can get more during the year! H is staying single so we don't even up owing.
We are paying off a consolidation loan H had with a ridiculous interest rate, H's court fees, CC#1 and half of CC#2 (these are the only ones left with balances). Then 2K in savings in case I get furloughed.
We will have ours done in March... we have to wait to get all our T-4 slips... by doing them as a married couple DH will in fact not owe but receive a return this year... since we have a dependent...
should be interesting, now if I can just get everything ironed out with work letting me go in Nov things will be a lot easier.

Having 11K in mortgage interest helps.
H is an accountant and took our documents to work this week to do our taxes. He finished them yesterday and he is filing them tomorrow. We are getting a decent refund, which I am excited for!
We are going to put our refund in savings for now and most likely use it for furniture when we buy a house.
I could be wrong but don't companies have to postmark all of your tax documents by January 31st by law? That was always my understanding.
