Welcome!

Hello Nesties!

I am fairly new to Philly and this board so I just wanted to stop by to say "Hello"!  I just certainly decided to stay home with my children (2 & 5) so I can't wait to explore all the classes and activity with them.

Any suggestions or recommendations on classes would be greatly appreciated!  I'm going to check out Gymboree & The Little Gym, but just wondered what else is out there that's good.

Thanks a Bunch!

Re: Welcome!

  • Hi!

Where in Philly do you live. Lots of stuff to do in every neighborhood.

  • I live in far northeast Philly near bucks county. Thank you for any info you can provide.
  • I have no clue about your area, just wanted to say "hi"

  • Welcome!  Jamiedoll usually checks in at nights or on weekends.  She might be able to give you some help!
  • Hi!  Welcome!  I also am in the far NE, near Bucks County.  My daughter is 2 1/2, and my son is 4 months...there's not a whole lot in our immediate area unfortunately, but some things we do are:

*Library storytime at Abington Library- they have different times for different ages, but we go on Tuesdays for the 2 year old program (you have to register, but it is free)

*Music class at Becker's in Willow Grove- Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon each week- again, free, but must register.  Next registration date is Feb. 18.  You have to register in person.

*Swim lessons- done at Neshaminy School District...their website is neshaminyaquatics.com.

I also go to Mom & Baby Yoga with my son, but that's only for kids younger than crawling age.

I'm looking to start my daughter in dance classes at one of the playgrounds in the far NE come September, and also registered her for a 2 day a week preschool for September.

     Hope that helps- welcome!
