IHO of the Brazilian post below...

I used to go to a spa in Norman to get my wooha waxed but their bedside manner really started to get to me.  Shouldn't they use a new stick every time they dip into the wax? Yes, I agree.

Then, I started going to the spa at the Renaissance hotel downtown but DAMN! It always took forever and I felt like the waxer spent more time tweezing than actually waxing. And that tweezing HURTS.

So, on Wednesday, I tried out the Eden Salon on 122nd and MacArthur. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. That girl - she was AHHHHHH-MAZING - barely any pain even though she did large sections at a time. She was good. I will go back. Her name is Kaci.

Just my two cents.

Re: IHO of the Brazilian post below...

  • You have convinced me to try again. Does waxing between the cheeks hurt? I've never gotten a full on Brazilian and I am a wee (who am I kidding...a lot) scared.  Also, what did it cost?

  • My sister and I were talking about finding a place in OKC to get a Brazilian [well, she wants to get one...I'm a chickensh!t and too scared]. Now I'm curious about pricing, too...

  • It was $65 which is pretty normal. I think I paid $75 in Norman and $75 downtown.  As far as between the @ss cheeks...I have never gotten on all fours to have them get all of it (humiliating!), but they are able to get most of it in the um, normal positions. And really SOME hair down there is okay, right? I have yet to receive any complaints...

OSU - honestly, she was the least painful person I have ever gone too. Much better to have them wax off as much as possible at one time.  I used to get them done all the time, when I first got married, but no one noticed or cared so I stopped. At the time, I could get it done and it didn't hurt at all. But when I started going back - wowza! It hurt REALLY bad. It isn't the best feeling in the world but it does it easier, plus, the more you get it done, the less hair that grows back, so that probably has a lot to do with it.

  • I have done the FULL monty so,-to-speak! It was less painful than the rest. You want to know some pain... wax your underarms. Holy gamoly... I have yet to find a good waxer here in WF, but I've been using GiGi Brazilian Body Hard Wax. No strips, a bit messy, and the hubby always wants to "help," but it gets the job done! I'll have to try Kaci out when we finally get home.
The length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are standing on! Photobucket
What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!
