Can we talk about Hillary?
I've always been a supporter of Hillary so there's my bias but I do have a genuine question for those who do not like or support her--can I ask why? When I ask acquaintances irl they'll say something like they just don't like her and then they'll start talking about how they don't like Bill Clinton. A lot of times I think people don't like her because her husband cheated on her which makes zero sense to me. Anyone care to share why they don't like Hillary?
Re: Can we talk about Hillary?
This reminded me of when George W won the nomination. I tried asking people I knew who supported him why they did. All I got was "I liked his father, I like him"
Oh, and yea, I love Hillary too.
I am a fan, but to sort of address your question, the few people that have told me they do not like her claim that she is riding Bill's coattails.....
For real. I try to point them in the direction of her actual career, but some people just don't wanna see a powerful woman.
I am guessing it's because she's a woman....but ole Sara P got right on in there and nobody said anything disparaging at all? ha.
I'm totally fine with Hillary. I think she's done a good job polishing her image as "She's the one who gets stuff done while other people are babbling and playing politics".
I can understand how someone who doesn't like the ACA would dislike Hillary, as she was pushing for a much stronger form of it while Bill was President.
Other than her political views being opposite to mine, I can't come up with any reason not to like her.
Not sure about a 2016 run, though; I wonder about her health....
Mommy, I am very pleasantly surprised!
edit: spelling- apparently I can't today
See, I'm not all bad.
But, I wouldn't vote for her if she ran, RE: Opposing political/social views. So, maybe I am bad?
I think that regardless of how her health is, her age will potentially be a count against her (maybe depending on what the rest of the Dem field is like). Ditto Biden, he's got another 5 years on her.
Recent circus of stomach bug -> fainting -> concussion -> blood clot issues aside, has her health generally been good though?
Of course you're not all bad, ML
Lexi, I agree - I think her health has otherwise been fine. I'm not sure if she'll actually go for a run in 2016 but I would LOVE it if she did.
I think that is a sane and logical reason not to vote for someone. And no one should be all good or all bad. That is not fun.
But, of course, you are so wrong!
Other than a stomach virus and concussion with treatable complications, what is Hilary's big ailment?
I am not being sarcastic. When you say you are concerned with her health, what do you mean?
My thoughts too. What about her health?
Christie is one breath away from dropping dead. His waist size is unreal.
I have heard about him a lot lately in the news. Apparently some doctor said something about him being so close to having a heart attack.
We didn't need a doctor to tell us that. You can just look at him. So what specifically scares you about Hillary's health?
nothing scares me, it just seemed like it happened all at once. The last thing I heard was she may have double vision because of those eye glasses she started wearing.
Maybe chris christie has a very hard time loosing weight. Some people struggle with it especially the older they are.
It happened all at once because everything that was wrong with her was tied in to her contracting some sort of stomach virus. It's not like she, in the span of a month, just happened to get a virus, a concussion, and a blood clot in her brain completely independent of one other.
I have a ton of respect for Hillary. The things she's accomplished in Washington are admirable.
Having said that, I would not vote for her in 2016. He political views are complete polar opposite of mine.
I agree with this. I've come to like her more once she stepped out of the shadows of Bill and was able to stand on her own merit. I am disappointed with how Benghazi has rolled out but she has historically not been opposed to being the fall guy to defuse a bad situation so at least she is consistent.
The only people who feel this are the nut jobs on Fox News. The additional security that was requested was at an embassy 400 miles away, for one thing. The whole thing is just so absurd.
