  • We keep it at 65 all winter and 75 all summer.  We save a ton of money!

    This!

It helps we have a ceiling fan in our bedroom in the summer.  We have the heat set to 60 at night in the winter but I swear to god H is a human heater.  We only have a light down comforter and sheet and we still have the fan on... he likes the white noise.

  • 62 in the winter and about 75 in the summer.  We do turn the heat up to 65 or so sometimes in the evening if we are cold, but always back down to sleep.  In the summer, we usually turn the air down at night because we HATE being hot when we are trying to sleep.  We have a tempurpedic mattress which holds a lot of heat so it is a bit harder to stay cool in bed.

We use the ceiling fan all the time, winter and summer because we like the moving air.

  • We rent and we're in a pre-war building where the building temperature is set, and we can't control it. I HAAAATE it and would give ANYTHING to be able to be in charge. They keep it way too hot and dry in the winter!

  • We have a programmable thermostat. It's 62 while at work, 68 when we get home til 10. Then 58 overnight, 64 from 7-8 when we're getting ready in the morning. Our gas bill is very low though. Even with the 68 we only pay like $75/mo in the winter.

  • we try to keep ours set around 70. Once we get our own place, I definitely want a programmable thermostat. We're in an apt right now and at least this winter, with it set on 70, our main living/dining/kitchen area stays around 65, the bedrooms are probably around 60. If we turn the thermostat up any, it doesn't make it any warmer, but the system won't shut off. Ugh.

  • We ususally have it set between 60 and 65 in the winter (that's one perk to living in an upstairs apartment). We don't have central air in our apartment, so we have our 2 window units on around 68-72 during the day and usually turn it up to 75 at night.
