date night! what's your fav restaurant in pgh?
thinking of places to go to dinner this weekend. what is your favorite restaurant in pgh?
Re: date night! what's your fav restaurant in pgh?
We just went to Tamari this past Saturday, and loved it! We went to the one in Lawrenceville. We've also been to the one in Wexford/Warrendale, which was also still very good, but we preferred the atmosphere of the Lawrenceville location.
I haven't been there in forever, but I used to love going to Caffe Davio on the South Side for date night. It's a very small restaurant (maybe 10 tables?), so reservations are required. (Also BYOB.)
Dish is a good one too (also on the South Side).
I posted something similar not long ago, and some of the suggestions were Siba and Narcisi Winery...a couple others, but I'm drawing a blank right now.
Our favorite is Narcissi Winery, but more when you can sit outside comfortably. Not that it's not worth it during the winter, it's just really great in the warmer weather.
We did Tamari for Tim's birthday and really enjoyed it.
i totally agree - we never go here in the winter, but in the summer there really is no place like it around.
my hands down favorite is Tamari - i much prefer the non-strip mall atmosphere of the L-ville location but the food is just as good in Warrendale (and much closer to my house). Also a huge fan of Avenue B and Dish.
I'm glad to hear they are still around and that someone else loves this place! (Have you ever had their stuffed steak? OMG - to die for. And we love the fact that it's BYOB.)
Siba is very good (Seven Fields) and I love DISH. I've heard great things about Habitat, downtown.
That said, I really want to try Narcissi this summer. I've been wanting to try them for two years now, but we just never get out!
My three sons!
