Re: Monday FFQs
Do you wake up in the same position when you find your leg numb?

I'd mention it to your OB at your next appointment, but wouldn't worry too much. It could just be because of how you're sleeping.

To me they felt like a tightening and my belly would be very hard to the touch. I didn't find them to be particularly painful or achy, though.

This but sometimes achy or painful.
That makes sense, my stomach does seem to be firmer when it's going on. Right now I'm not feeling the achy, crampy feeling and my belly isn't as firm. Either way, she's certainly been going to town movement wise over the last several days (I believe I have a gymnast, soccer player, or dancer in there).
I had a few the other night, but I wouldn't have known I was having them unless I touched my belly. It felt like my uterus was a football that I could grab. It was super weird. I hear they can become a little achy towards the end.
Mine felt like Grey's. I usually only noticed them in the middle night when I got up to pee.
My lower right side of my back is killing me. Started yesterday., sleeping, sitting, standing = pain. It's a 8/9 (1-10). Not sure if this is normal, but more importantly will it go away? I'm trying to 'walk it off' but nothing is helping.
My best guess is that it's sciatica pain, which is normal and really sucks. I think MOA had it pretty bad.

if its what I had, it won't go away until the babies are here. My sciatica was so bad that it literally took me 5 minutes to sit down and 5 minutes to stand back up. I was off work a lot with it too (I stand for 8 hours/day). Sorry to hear you're in that much pain!
It is pretty normal though, and you had double the baby that I did too.
I haven't switched over to side sleeping yet, and I'm 18w5d. I'll stomach sleep until I'm uncomfortable. I've always suck my hands under my hip bones, though, and I think that gives me a little extra height for the bump. My doctor said that as long as I'm not uncomfortable, I can stomach sleep. I'm sure there will come a time that stomach sleeping is more uncomfortable than trying to fall asleep as a side sleeper.
H is so supportive. He tells me all the time that he can't wait until I'm too big to sleep on my stomach. He can be an azz sometimes.

I've always heard that it's fine until it's uncomfortable. I still do it sometimes and I'm 14 weeks tomorrow.

I'm also a stomach sleeper and was told to stop when it became uncomfortable. I ended up switching to my back around 10 weeks because it worked. I'm still trying to sleep on my side and usually start out that way with a pillow between my knees but wake up most mornings on my back. I plan to ask about the back issue at my appointment today.
That is good to know. I have the hardest time falling asleep in any position other than my stomach, so I'm glad I don't have to switch over until I can't anymore.

I agree that you'll know when it's time to switch. I bought a body pillow to help get comfy sleeping on my side.

I always woke up in the middle of the night and found myself flat on my back or on my stomach up until 2nd tri. Stomach sleeping got uncomfortable pretty fast, but sometimes I still find myself on my back.
Like the others said, until you're uncomfy, you should be fine.
If you use one, I'd probably use a free and clear dryer sheet, just to be safe.
S is on a sleep schedule, hooray! But, we generally cannot get her down before 10pm. This seems really late for a baby, and embarrassingly, is late for me too. She usually sleeps for 12 hours waking to eat 2-3 times but we usually don't get up for the day until 9 or 10am. How can I begin to adjust her schedule so we can get her down earlier?
Also, she is getting her 2mo shots on Thursday and we are heading home for the weekend on Friday. Is she going to be uncomfortable or fussier than normal from these shots?
After 31 cycles and two losses, we've been blessed with a healthy baby girl!

Yay for a sleep schedule! M used to go to bed around 10:00 too. I would try to put her down a half hour earlier for a week, then a half hour earlier the next week, etc. until she's going to bed when you want her to.
2 month shots were pretty rough for us. M slept almost the whole day after her shots and most of the next day. She also had a low grade fever.
As far as the shots, you never know how your baby will react until they receive the shots unfortunately. My daughter hasn't had much of a reaction to any of them. She maybe was a little more tired and her thighs swelled a bit from where they put the shots in, but that was it. No fever, no fussiness.
.
I was able to sleep on my stomach until maybe 30ish weeks? Then I had to be a mostly half stomach for a while and then a full side sleeper at the end. However, I'm fluffier than you, and you will likely show earlier. I bet you'll be good until at least 5 months or so. Enjoy it now!

You should probably just use a free and clear dryer sheet, which would defeat the purpose of using one for the scent!
