My nephew...
Jared and my four year old nephew, Quentin was helicoptered down to Oakland Children's Hospital this afternoon with a ruptured appendix. He is currently be pumped full of antibiotics. They can't go in to do the surgery yet to remove his appendix until the infection clears up. It's currently too cloudy to see or do much of anything at this point. We are being told the surgery could happen as soon as tomorrow or as long as 10 days away. We just don't know yet. Just waiting. I am considering driving the four hours to see him, but I know how ICUs are. You barely get to see the patient, too much going on. So I feel pretty useless. Just crossing fingers for now that everything turns out okay.
