So on GMA this morning I saw where a couple got engaged and then had a "flash" wedding. While I saw to each their own I have to wonder do women really like this idea. So what do you ladies think about getting engaged and married the same day without having any control over anything including your dress?
Re: Question of the Day
OMG I saw this too!!
I would NOT be ok with this...at all. In fact I'd probably be kinda pissed about it. It's fine to be proposed to on live tv, but to have to rush around and have you "wedding" 30 minutes later...no thank you.

Part of me thinks it would be awesome... I would have loved for someone to do all that wedding planning for me. But as much as I had no idea what I wanted when I started out, I did end up figuring out what would make our wedding perfect for us, and I that would have happened if I had let someone else do all the planning.
I think I also have a little bit of a control freak in me who would be overwhelmed by the idea.
Most importantly, though, as ready as I was to just get married already, I have to say I enjoyed being engaged. I feel like we really grew closer together, and I'm glad we got a chance to experience that stage of our relationship.

I saw this, and as much as I enjoyed watching it as a viewer, I couldn't help but feel bad for the girl. I wouldn't mind being proposed to on live tv, but I enjoyed planning our wedding and just being engaged, so I would be upset missing out on that experience.
I doubt the marriage is legal though, since they wouldn't have a marriage license or anything. I'm sure she'll end up having "another" wedding
I think the idea is super sweet. To take away all this stress for the bride and just to be able to enjoy your life together. However with that said I would be beyond pissed!!! Some things I could have cared less if someone ese picked out for me like centerpieces and the girls dresses and the guys tuxes etc. What I did care about was my whole attire including the dress, hair, veil, shoes, makeup, and jewelry. Also the cake and flowers and the first dance song.
Yes I trust H and my mom to pick out flowers and our first dance song but the rest I don't think so.
This zamboni! I LOVED our engagement time. Even though I was totally ready to take my walk down the aisle, I would not have given up that engagement period for anything. Planning the wedding together was wonderful, allbeit - some interesting moments.
I saw this this morning and I didn't know what to think. It will be something they will always remember and have fun with, but honestly, don't you always do on your wedding? I can remember just about everything from my day. With that being said, it would be fun to wear a crazy expensive dress and have the Cake Boss make your cake for ya! It just seems impersonal to me, which was the whole point of a wedding to me....
