Re: QOTD 2/14

  • Honestly - me leaving him.  His ex-wife left him while he was at work with their kids and half of their stuff... left a note on the tv with her rings.  He's so scared I'll do the same thing.  He asks me if I'm happy almost everyday.

  • My DH is afraid of anything that has been left in the fridge for more than 4-5 days.  This may not sound that bad, but it also includes ketchup, mustard, BBQ sause, salad dressing, and pickles.  We go through alot of condiments because of this.

  • H doesn't get scared of a lot of things, but he is VERY squeamish. He can't deal with blood, or puke, or anything like that. He can't even watch Bizarre Foods without gagging, LOL. I joke with him all the time that I'm kicking him out of the delivery room when we have a baby so he doesn't faint on the floor.

  • H has an irrational fear of tornadoes. To the point he won't even watch Twister. We live in NJ, tornadoes aren't exactly the norm here!!

  • Having people mad at him.  He rarely stands up for himself, and will do anything to fix friendships.  It's a big reason why he has a few "friends" that walk all over him.
  • DH absolutely cannot watch me put my contacts in, put eyedrops in, curl my eyelashes, or put mascara on! Basically, he's creeped out by anything touching your eyes LOL!

  • he and i were just talking about fears the other day.  he literally has no fears!  spiders with long legs freak him out though (as in, he won't kill them with a tissue or trap them...he kills them with a zap racket).

  • H doesn't like certain things touching him.  He will not touch cotton balls, fleece, foam.  I chase him around sometimes just for fun with a cotton ball.  It's funny to watch him scream when I get him.

  • Heights! The man is 6'4''. Like hello you are already up high. He's also not very good with things touching his feet. He had a lot of ingrown toenails as a kid.

  • i got another tall guy < 6'2 >  thats afraid of heights here too!! and flying-but that is probably related to the fear of heights too!
  • DH isn't exactly the bravest.  He is afraid of bees, heights (poor guy is only 5'5'') and he is super squeamish.  He can't look at blood or anything which is funny to me because I'm a nurse.

Also, he hates loud noises.  Apparently this is a family thing because one, if not two of his nephews is super sensitive to sounds as well as one of his older sisters. As a child, he hated amusement park rides (ALL OF THEM).  We have a small children's park near our house and when he was little his sisters worked there and he got free tickets to the rides.  He wouldn't ride any until he was four or five and then he would only ride the train.  His mom said he used to sit on the bench and was mesmerized with watching the train, but didn't want to ride it for a long time!
