Emmy--when did your son speak to mine?? :)

PPS had school yesterday, and since they were in school on President's day, they had the kids do a President's Day craft.

A star on a stick with a picture of George Washington on one side, and Abraham Lincoln on the other.

J points to both sides, and tells me both the men are dead. I say yes, they lived a long time ago. Then he points to Lincoln and says that someone shot him. Then he asked what the man's name was and why would he do that.

Your question a few weeks ago had me all prepared for this, and we had a second conversation on the subject while we were driving with Steve and Michael to gymnastics. I loved Steve's comment "Jackson, you don't ever want to be known to the whole world by your full name. That is a bad thing." Thank you dear for the help.

  • haha, I'm glad that we took one for the team by having Jake ask this question first!!  He actually hasn't brought it up again, though I was waiting (and ready this time!) for it to come up again with talk of Presidents Day at school!  I love Steve's comment, too...we'll have to keep that in mind ;)
