Ladies! He is engaged & having an affair!
My bff just found out that the guy she has been with for well over a year is ENGAGED to be married this June! They had a LDR, (OH & CA) She is pretty certain his fiance knows absolutely nothing. She broke it off as soon as she found out but she is thinking she should call the girl and spill everything. She is really conflicted. Bad karma to withold that info when the poor girl will marry him knowing zero about who he really is. She also wants kids according to the loser guy. My bff could care less what comes of it as far as the guy is concerned. She said she would want someone to tell her before marrying a total liar and serious cheater. What's bothering her more is that this girl wants kids with him and we all know what will happen there. Once a cheat, always a cheat especially when it's long term lying and concealing. Bad character. Advice? I think she should make the call.
Re: Ladies! He is engaged & having an affair!
This is technically a mind your own business situation, but I also would not be able to in good conscience not at least try to tell the women. I would try to show some proof, because the odds are she may not believe you.
I think one phone call or conversation and thats it, then never contact her again, she can figure it out from there.
I would want to know.
There's always the possibility that the fiancee won't believe your friend, or she's one of those stick-your-head-in-the-sand types who will be angry at your friend for telling her, but in this case I still think your friend should let her know what's been going on. It's not like she'll be losing a friend if the conversation doesn't go well.
Oh I'd make that call. I would also have any and all proof ready to email or share with her.
Love is blind and she may not believe your friend. It may turn nasty but at least she gave the warning.
Baby Boy loved for 15 weeks, 5/31/11
Baby Girl loved for 16.5 weeks. 3/1/12
This actually happened to a Wedding Woes regular about a decade ago, but in that case, she was the fiancee. She was glad to know, even though it hurt at the time, and well rid of him, and today she's with a terrific, trustworthy guy.
I say make the call.
This LDR "RELATIONSHIP" garbage is NOT a relationship.
Boy...how stupid can people BE???
Are you serious!?!?!?! DH and I were in a long distance relationship for a while, I got a promotion had to move. He stayed behind while he worked on getting a transfer. BS, sometimes THINGS in life happen and people end up in LDR, yes how stupid can people be, HMMMM I think you are one of those people!!!!!!!!
I think you misunderstood Tarpon's point. I read that to mean those that met and have never, ever lived in the same city or been with each other in person for more than a few days don't have a real "relationship". Ie: long distance. Not a situation where you are together, move apart for an amount of time for the specific purpose of moving together to the same place.
To the OP, any update?!
Tell her to please call this poor girl. I had had a similar situation at one point in my life, I found out I was the other woman. I needed to tell her, I was so mad that he could do that to a woman he was making to believe he wanted to marry and spend the rest of his life with. #1 I didn't care about how she felt about me afterwards, I knew I had to do what I thought was right. #2 I was not going to feel guilty for something I had no way of knowing that he was doing.
His fiance may be really hurt now, and she may hate your friend, but at some point she will be so thankful that someone was honest with her after so much dishonestly.
If she can't stand to talk to her, set up a free email account that she will use for this only. Send her a slightly detailed email so she can confront the ***. (I would say details should include something like "We had dinner with friends on July 1, 2012. That way the fiance has some solid information)
