London & Paris or Rome?
Hi Ladies,
My husband and I are planning to go to Europe in May. We were originally trying to go to London, Paris and Rome, but due to time constraints (we only have 9 days) we feel we may be better off picking 2 cities. We definitely want to go to London, but would you rather also go to Paris or Rome? Anyone who has been and has any feedback would be much appreciated! We are looking to see a lot during the day, indulge in a lot of food and enjoy the nightlife!
Thanks!
Re: London & Paris or Rome?
I think I would go to Paris...via the Chunnel Train and that would be less travel time than going from London to Rome.
Also in Paris, if you end up going there, you can walk up the Towers of Notre Dame. Same view as the Eiffel Tower, but the line is usually shorter and it's awesome to see the gargoyles/chimeras up close, and they ring the bells while you're up there.
logistically, Paris is easier because it has a train connecting the cities (the chunnel). MUCH cheaper/simpler than another flight.
Paris is great. They'are all great. If I had to pick two I'd go Paris/Rome.
You could possibly still go to all 3 if you wanted to.
You could do London for 3-4 days, a day trip to Paris, and then 3-4 days in Rome. Personally, I would choose Rome over Paris, but am glad I can say I've been to Paris and seen everything there.
Here's a link to the daytrip we did from London to Paris. The price isn't too bad, and it includes all of your transportation, lunch, and an english speaking guide.

You can also look into cheap flights from London to Rome through RyanAir. Or vice versa if you aren't planning to fly to London first.

I haven't been yet but DH and I are going to London Paris and Rome in about 8 days in April. (3 nights in Rome, 2 nights in Paris and 3 nights in London)
It's easier to do just London & Paris since it's a ~2.5 hour train ride. If you wanted to do all three the plane ride from Paris to Rome is pretty short so it would take a morning for travel.
Also I've seen recommended that if you do all three you fly into Rome and leave out of London (or visa versa).
I would research what you want out of the trip and see if you wanted to do three(ish) days in each city or about 4.5 days in two of them.
Have fun planning!
