We're shopping for appliances and trying to decide if we want/need a double oven. We're looking at the ovens that are the normal size but have two doors. The gas ovens we've looked at don't seem to have much room in each section. I cook most nights but nothing that really requires a lot of oven room but it would be nice when I am baking multiple things. I just don't know if its worth it for the one time every few months that I would actually need it. What are your thoughts on getting a double oven? Would it actually be of enough use?
Re: Double oven?
If you have the space for it, and want it, go for it. You'll probably use it 2-times a year, IMO. We don't have a lot of counter space so we opted to remove the 2nd oven and install a microwave instead. For us, this is a good use of space and works perfectly. Every thanksgiving I miss my second oven, but for the rest of the year I appreciate the extra counter space!
