Re: I'm bored. Poll.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe.
Southwest Ckn and rice....not sure of the recipe off the top of my head but its a Pinterest special.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal?
Usually a salad. Nothing fancy....
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I don't color any more and I haven't had a hair cut in almost 6 months...scary I know. But usually I pay about $50 for a cut.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Brown rice, rotel, diced tomatoes, cream of chicken soup...then in the fridge I need milk, juice, apples and carrots at all times.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed?
Still BFing baby girl at almost 11mo. I am just going to let her keep going until she decides she is done with it.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast)
I might be surprised at first simply because you don't see it often, but then I wouldn't think twice about it.
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
I don't eat it.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
No money owed here...a nice healthy refund is on its way.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Chicken spaghetti. The kick ass recipe full of trash like velveeta, cream of mushroom, rotel, sour cream, chicken, and noodles. Lots of black pepper on top. NOM.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? Steamed broccoli, green beans, seasoned rice, bread of some sort, bagged salad, saut?ed veggies...you get the idea.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? Cut and color is $105 and I tip on top of that. I LOVE my girl.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Rotel, canned veggies, frozen veggies, apples, bananas, honey oat bread, oatmeal, string cheese, velveeta (classy!), cream of chicken and mushroom, granola bars, tortilla chips, salsa, baby carrots, grapes, bag o' salad, colby jack cheese, ritz crackers, wheat thins, Dr. Pepper, red Gatorade, apple juice, milk...I keep these stocked pretty much at all times. Keeps me sane.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? We are breastfeeding currently, but if it wouldn't have worked, I would have been happy to formula feed. No judgment there...B was FF after 6 weeks because of latch issues.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) It's admittedly a little shocking, but I understand it and it doesn't bother me. I have gotten much more comfortable with it since having to feed tiny girl out in public a few times. I try to cover up some, but she doesn't really care for being covered up and she gets hot...so sometimes there's some top boob. Meh.
What do you eat in your oatmeal? Any kind of fresh fruit, nuts, brown sugar, dried cranberries/raisins/cherries, maple syrup, chocolate chips. Not all at the same time, of course.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) --We are getting a refund from federal and state. I didn't expect it. Of course we aren't taking the refund, but instead applying it toward our estimated payments for 2013. There is zero fun in being responsible. Sad face. I really want to blow some of it!
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe.
uhm... PB&J?
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal?
veggies, potatoes, salad
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay?
I do my own... I don't trust anyone else to do it! So, whenever I feel like I need a change! (I'm a hair stylist so I'm not just flinging box color around)
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge?
I am pretty much a domestic failure... But I keep certain things around for the boys like yogurt and bread etc.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed?
Breastfeed
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast)
I would probably notice for sure but I don't think anything bad about it at all... Been there!
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
I'm a Quaker instant girl.... The fruit and cream kind.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
Refund expected this week!
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Ziti out of the freezer. I made two for the freezer last week and I can guarantee one will make it out sometime this week. Another quick dinner; scrambled eggs or yogurt and waffles.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? Salad, potato of some sort, or fruit (odd I know). I can guarantee that it will be consumed if its fruit.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I get a cut every other month or so. I really want to color my hair, it has been around 3 years now and I miss how easy it was to style. I just know I will slack with maintenance.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Pantry: cream of chicken soup, canned tomatoes, granola bars, crackers, pasta sauce, pasta, wheat bread, peanut butter, pretzels, chips, and hidden stash of fruit snacks and cookies. My most important thing... Nesquik powder. Fridge: fruit cups, milk, cheese of various types, applesauce pouches, fresh fruit, eggs, sour cream, cream cheese and grilled or baked chicken breast (leftover and always works for a quick lunch or dinner). I feel like I have a ton more convenience type foods since B is now a toddler.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? Breastfeed
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) I would notice, but I wouldn't think anything about it. I often wear two shirts and a scarf to cover as much of myself as possible but DS will not let me cover him. I would smile at the mom if we made eye contact to let her know I support her because I appreciate the same support.
What do you eat in your oatmeal? Brown sugar, diced peaches with a bit of cream cheese, honey.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) We owe a bit to State and get back some from Fed. I agree, it does suck to be responsible. I am ready to spend every dime!
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Usually we'll just order something, or I'll make grilled cheese and whatever kind of Progresso we have in the cabinet
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? See above.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? Not often enough. Last time I got a cut/color was in November. The color has faded, and it's grown A LOT. It's $45 for the cut, I don't remember how much the color is because I do it so infrequently.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Good OJ, cheese, bread, soups, canned tomatoes and beans, tortillas.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? BF all the way, if possible.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) I honestly have never come across this. I don't really have a problem with it, but I wouldn't do it myself.
What do you eat in your oatmeal? I so rarely eat oatmeal...
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) We always end up owing money and it SUUUUUUCKS.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. My easiest meal is browning turkey in a skillet then adding diced tomatoes and black beans. Wrap that up in a tortilla and top with shredded cheese.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, cous cous, and salad
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I go every 6 weeks. I usually pay $75 plus tip.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Pantry- canned beans, rice, canned tomatoes, canned tuna, breakfast stuff (oatmeal, cereal), goldfish (we go through a lot), and pastas.
Fridge- cheese (shredded and sliced), milk, eggs, bottled water, half and half, butter, condiments (steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, etc.), and pickles (I love pickles!)
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? Breastfeed, but I wouldn't rule out ff. We supplemented with M since she never seemed full enough on just breastmilk.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) Eh, it doesn't bother me. Most times I probably wouldn't noticed.
What do you eat in your oatmeal? I usually make malt-o-meal for M and myself. I put some milk, butter, and a little sugar in it.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) Don't know yet. We have an appt to get ours done next week.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Chicken and rice bake - can of Cream of Mushroom soup, 3/4 cup uncooked rice, 1 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon season salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1.25 pounds chicken breast [I use two chicken breasts]. Mix everything in a casserole dish, top with chicken, sprinkle a little more season salt and pepper on top, and bake for 45 minutes.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? I'm a big fan of corn. And rice.

What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Milk, butter, eggs, water, juice for JJ, and wine. In the pantry, we usually have cereal, oatmeal, goldfish crackers and pasta.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? Hopefully, we'll have another baby soon...and I'll try to breastfeed first. I couldn't with JJ because my supply was so low, but I'll try harder next time.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) I don't care. I might do a double take, but it wouldn't gross me out or anything.
What do you eat in your oatmeal? I'm not an oatmeal fan...
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) We got a refund from both federal and state - used it to pay off a decent chunk of our debt and jumpstart our savings. The last two years have been a struggle for us, and we're finally getting back on solid ground.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Chicken breast, can of rotel, taco seasoning, onion flakes... cook on low for 6ish hours. We eat it with all kinds of things.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? With the one above? It depends... usually we eat it as fajita meat with tortillas and such and don't really have sides.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I go once or twice a year for a cut (not near as often as needed) and pay about $40. For a color, if I get it done, it's about $60. But, I'm cheap and most of the time I just color it myself. My grey hairs show up too quick to be able to have it done somewhere every couple of months.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Lunch meat and sliced cheese. lol If nothing else, we eat sandwiches!
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? Probably FF... at the moment, I say I wouldn't attempt to BF. I have nothing against BFing and have much respect for those who do. I just like the idea of the convenience of FFing... and we are constantly on the go all over the place and (in my mind I feel like) it'd be a pain in the rear to need to find time to pump or BF. But, I may very well change my mind if I ever have babies of my own.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) I don't know that I have a reaction. I think it's awesome. It's not something that I really give a second thought.

Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) We owe the state and get a refund from federal.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe.
Grilled cheese and Trader Joe's tomato soup- an oldie, but a goodie. I do add a laughing cow garlic and herb cheese wedge in with the American cheese, though, to give it a little more flavor.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal?
Brown rice, baby bok choy, a cut up piece of fruit or two, quinoa with whatever we have leftover in there, steamed broccoli with lemon juice, a salad with a quick vinaigrette, frozen veggie and grain mixtures from Trader Joes (I love that place!)
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay?
About 3x/year. I don't pay anything for it because my aunt is a stylist. She does it for the cost of dinner.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge?
We always have pasta and sauce, baking stuff (salt, flour, 3 kinds of sugar, chocolate chips, vanilla, etc.), tons of spices (I was addicted to the tiny $1.00 spice jars at Forward Foods), beef, chicken, and veggie stock, a couple of kinds of lentils, rice (brown and white), barley or quinoa or farro, a jar of some kind of Thai or Indian starter sauce, 6 or 7 types of vinegar, 2-3 kinds of olive oil, and a few kinds of mustard in reserve. For some reason I always think that we eat way more mustard than we do. At least it stays good for a long time.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed?
I'd try to breast feed. I'd also try not to beat myself up too much if it didn't work out.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast)
"Good for her!"
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
Raisins, walnuts, and brown sugar
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
We actually got money back for the first time in forever. Two moves + a renter's deduction in this state + lots of charitable deductions (most from donating stuff when we moved) = a decent refund.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Cheeseburger macaroni and cheese using the Kraft mac & cheese in the bag... what is it called... homestyle?
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? Nothing with the above.
Any other meal, salad and some kind of potato.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I don't color my hair, and my split ends are insane. So... never, and not often enough.
What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge? Potatoes, onions, lettuce, milk, shredded cheese, cream cheese, various meat, soda, and pasta.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? I would attempt to BF, but I'm not against formula if it's necessary.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) I don't care, unless it's a 5-year-old hanging on.

What are your must haves in the pantry/fridge?
Tough question. Too many to count.
If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed?
I really tried hard to breastfeed, but we had to start formula within the first month. I just did not produce. And what I did produce came out in my bra. I'm torn on if I'll try next time or not. I knew due to my original breasts and many corrective surgeries that I wouldn't have the best chance. Those factors will still be present next time.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast)
It would surprise me, but it wouldn't bother me. I feed my kid in public all the time. They have just as much right as I do.
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
Just butter and sugar.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
We got a decent federal return and owe half of that to state. This happens every year!
I need a new stylist for those of you who said you love your person. Preferably someone on the south / east side of town.
I got a nice refund this year, but it is earmarked to help cover some of my upcoming furlough days. If congress somehow manages to pass a budget, I'll finally have house plans drawn up and start our new house instead.
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Lately it's been lasagna soup in the crockpot. I found it on pinterest, and I use morningstar crumbles to make it vegetarian. So good!
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal? No sides. Although I top it with lots of mozzarella cheese and olives.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay? I don't color my hair because I'm too lazy for the maintenance (last time was maybe 8 years ago), and I get a hair cut maybe twice a year. Again, lazy. I just keep it long with a couple of layers. Usually in a ponytail.

What do you eat in your oatmeal? Not an oatmeal fan, but if I had to I would put brown sugar, cinnamon, and apples
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already) No clue. Will probably get a tiny refund like last year (think it was $30 woo hoo), but better than owing a lot because we've been in that boat too
I sent you a PM
Thanks!
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe. Stromboli, or I throw frozen chicken in the crockpot and make some type of meal from it like BBQ chicken, shredded caesar sandwiches, etc.

If you had a baby, would you attempt to breastfeed or would you formula feed? It was really important to me to BF, and I probably put too much pressure on myself, but we have a great nursing relationship and are going strong at 11 months. Next baby will definitely get the occasional formula bottle to give me a break, though.
When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast) At this phase in my life, the reaction is probably jealousy that she can nurse in public. I truly think it's beautiful. I love it... bare all ladies. The human body is such an amazing thing in general but,... As a photographer, I love shooting candids of women feeding their newborns when I'm there to do portraits... In great light of course.
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
I eat oatmeal EVERY morning for breakfast. Usually just with raisins and dried cranberries, but sometimes with peaches and blueberries.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
I think we ended up owing like $100 bucks or something...
What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe.
Usually if I don't feel like cooking, I will convince H to have Freddy's since we can actually eat there and it's pretty good for fast food. I also like doing pita bread pizzas.
What are your go to side items that you make with your meal?
I don't really do side items with most of our meals. We do chips with things like burgers/falafel burritos and I will make bread to go with pasta or soup.
How often do you get your hair cut and colored? How much do you pay?
I usually only get my hair cut about every 3 months or so. I always pay for H, DS and I all together, so I'm not sure how much my cut is. Probably around $25. I haven't colored my hair in forever.

What's your go to easy meal when you don't feel like cooking? Bonus points for a recipe.
Take a can of diced tomatoes and about 1/4 cup of olive oil, and combine in a bowl. Add some sea salt. Throw in some chunks of fresh mozzarella, and stir it up. Leave the whole business alone for about a half hour or so, and then cook up some spaghetti noodles. Pour your mixture on top. Easiest thing ever, and man, I just love it.

When you see a woman breastfeeding in public without a cover, what is your honest reaction? (you can't see her nipple, but you can see the entire top of her breast)
I'm really pretty oblivious when it comes to this kind of thing, but if I saw it, I'm sure I'd act all awkward and weird as I pointedly tried not to look. I have no problem with it, of course, but I'm sure I'd mess up trying to be all suave about it.
What do you eat in your oatmeal?
I haven't had it in a long time.
Do you owe money this year or did you get a refund on your taxes? (if you know already)
Don't know yet.
