Academy of Natural Sciences

I think I read on here they have a toddler area- but wanted to make sure.  Have you guys taken toddlers?  Is it worth it?  There was a big deal on Groupon or one of those sites for a membership the other day, but I am hesitant, because honestly I am a wimp about driving downtown, and to lug the stroller and both kids and our crap on the train is just not happening...so I'm not sure we'd get there more than once or twice anyway.

Re: Academy of Natural Sciences

  • Perfect. We have been goig w F since she was 9 mos. great for crawlers too! I love love it there. We go about once a month maybe. The third floor has some live animals and the volunteers will take out the hunny or lizard or frog to see. And they have a few live guys on the first floor and they have shows. The dinosaurs are a big hit. I think that the membership is a great value. And it is never ever packed. The cafeteria is good too! Thumbs way up from me

  • I am so happy to see this post! I have been cashing in my Recycle Bank rewards and have four free passes now, I have been wanting to use but wasn't sure if it would be okay for T3.

Jamie- fb message me if/when you decide to go!

I will!  I'm glad you posted about using the rewards points for a few passes- I redeemed for one last week, and then saw the wording that it was limit one per customer per month- I wasn't sure if that meant we can only redeem one per month but can go use them all at once, or that if we had a few they'd only let us use one per visit at the museum itself.

And thanks Rum- good to see you on here!

  • I know you can only redeem one per month through Recyclebank since I have been doing it a few months now (along with my $10 off $100 Shoprite), I checked ticket over the weekend and it doesn't say only one tic per visit but I guess we will only know by trying it out.
