Book Club Update
Whatcha reading?
I just finished listening to Winter Garden - Kristin Hannah (Winter word). After I got into it I loved it. It had some really sad parts that made it hard to get through, but it was such a good story.
I'm starting Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan (book talked about on NBC).
Still reading Happy Ever After - Nora Roberts (favorite author). I hope to finish this in the next couple days and get Shadow of Night - Deborah Harkness (All souls trilogy #2) at the library (2012 winner)
Re: Book Club Update
I'm not in the book club here but I'll contribute since I started reading again.
I just finished Just This Once by Rosalind James and it was ok. I liked it but I'm feeling pretty romanced out from reading about 4 romance books in a row.
Now I'm finally reading Gone Girl. I'm only about 10% into the book but I'm having a pretty hard time picturing the characters. Usually I identify what they would be like and look like but for this book its just not clicking.
I started Let's Pretend This Never Happened (2012 award winner) & started listening to Defending Jacob, which doesn't actually fit in anywhere. Oh well. It's a fantastic book & I'm kind of cranky I don't get to listen to it more often!

I haven't been reading anything for book club. I only have one left and I have some others I wanted to check off my list before I jump into it.
I finished A Discovery of Witches....awesome. I have the second in the series on hold at the library.
I finished Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand. I really enjoyed it. I had never even heard of this author until uderin posted about reading SG.
I also finished She's Come Undone and throughly enjoyed this. I've had the book for a long time and am so glad I finally read it.
I'm now listening to The Island by Elin Hilderbrand and am reading Days of Smoke and Starlight which is the second in the daughter of smoke and bone series.

Glad you enjoyed Silver Girl! I also read The Island and most of her other books. They are always great beachy books with a good story and some drama. I recently read Nantucket Nights which was great....I couldn't put it down.
I'm not reading anything for book club right now but I have a Kristin Hannah book on hold at the library for the favorite author category but it's taking forever to come in!
I have 2 books I borrowed from my sister for 2 other categories but I keep checking books out from the library! I need to make it a priority to read those books.
