How Spendy was Your Weekend?

I am late and missed last week.  I have a Ccazy project at work that is not working properly.  ugh...So let's hear it.  It has been a bad time in my house.

Friday:

Eating Out: $20

Dog Food and treats: $44

Saturday:

Jewelry Store: $166 to get my prongs on my center diamond redone.  They have worn down and I don't want to lose my stone.

Trader Joes: $27 Groceries

CVS: $4 Bar soap

Red Lobster: $50...so gross but there for someone's bday Tongue Tied

Walgreens: $14 for my uncle's copay for prescriptions that I picked up for him

Autozone: $22 for new wipers

Sunday:

Car Repair: $163

On the good note, we sold all of our Indians tickets and that paid for our tickets for the year.  One step forward, two steps backwards.

We did not do well at all.  How did you do?

  • This seemed like a fun thing to do until you started using people's responses against them on other boards.

Are you serious?  I was about to write my weekend spending.  Glad I saw your reply.  Thanks

Same here! I don't post too much around other boards, but this was one topic that I thought was interesting and fun. It keeps everyone in "check"/honest with themselves since the weekends are usually the worst times when it comes to spending money!

Not good, thanks for pointing this out !

  • The only thing I spend money on this past weekend was $1.99 for a large DD coffee.

She used the fact a PP who made mention on the How Spendy was your Weekend thread that she took her family to Steak and Shake against her.

    And I quote...

"Paying for a medical treatment recommended by a doctor is not "blowing money."  Eating Steak N' Shake on a Friday night is.  When you don't pay your medical bills and go on a payment plan, how do you think the doctor pays his staff or the hospital pays the doctors or staff depending on their affiliation? Ding...Ding...Ding...People who are paying their bills have to get charged a little more to be able to cover people like you who will be paying their bills over time. So, I will gladly pay for you treatment so you can go to Steak N' Shake.  It is no different then living off the government.  You are living off someone.  I might be a hateful B!!tch but I am a self sufficient one.  Now go get a job that allows you to pay your damn bills...since you "Built It."  Stop mooching off of everyone and acting like you are self-sufficient."

    Classy, huh?

Ha!  That's the only reason I posted is because I only spent a whopping 2 bucks.

Agree that this was uncalled for. We all share things on here to get support from others who share similar views and interest in money.  The weekend spending post is to keep us accountable for what we spend, and for some of us it is helpful. I'm disappointed this was used against her on another board.

  • I am annoyed at this...more than I should be =)   I used to enjoy this post on Mondays.  During the weekends as I was out shopping, I always kept in the back of my head that I will have to admit to someone how much I actually spent.  Silly I know, but whatever helps us stay on track, right?

  • Friday - Sushi dinner $70 (this was our one splurge from our tax refund, everything else went to pay off 2 CCs, 2 personal loans, and add to our E-fund)

    Saturday - $0

Sunday - Cracker Barrel for breakfast - $25, walmart for groceries, house supplies and I needed a new phone car charger - $125.

    Total - $220

    Eliza Mae - September 16th, 2014

    Lilypie First Birthday tickers

  • Friday - $47 for Gas for my car. That'll get me through for all of this week.

Saturday - $16 for Gigi's cupcakes, $11.13 for McDonalds for lunch, $12.80 for pet food (will last about 1 1/2 months)

     Sunday - $59.73 for Gas for DH's car. That'll get him through for about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks.

    Total: $146.66

Our Gym memberships hit the credit card this weekend, but I didn't count that since ithe 24th just happened to fall on the weekend.

  • This was one of my best weekends by far, I spend $3 at a drive through on Saturday, and looking back now I wish I hadn't so i could have said I spent $0 all weekend!

This coming weekend I'm going out of town so won't be near as good...
