like in the sink? I think this nesting is the real deal, I look at Georgie and want to throw her in the sink and lather her up.
Do you wash your cat, take her in orrr just let her do her own thing?

Re: Do you bathe your cat?
LOL!
I did wash one of my cats, kind of, in the sink, once. We had just gotten her, and I was dumb and didn't put a towel in the carrier so she peed and it got all over her. We only managed to get her legs and tail, but that was really all she needed. Plus, the noises she was making were awful.
I don't think I could ever wash our big male cat. He would just freak the eff out.
I did buy "cat wipes" for them - they're like baby wipes kind of. But, now they know what they are and run when I pull them out.
Soooo, I stick to brushing and letting them do their business. The cat wipes do come out occasionally.

my family, and thus i have well, bathe cats in the tub. i have actually put on a swim suit for the sake of being able to stand in the tub and bathe a cat that was particularly unhappy about it. but usually it's just like bathing a child, except with a cat. we put a towel down in the tub and then run the water so that the cat has something to grip on to and not slide all around. some of our cats have taken to a bath better than others but none really like it. now that my family owns a pet grooming shop it's done this same way, but at their shop. cats don't always do a great job of cleaning themselves and mats can form over time so an actual bath is good for them.

My cat has been bathed a few times, mostly when she was younger. We bathed her when we brought her home from the shelter and every time after she went to the vet because the other two cats didn't like the "outside" scent.
One of DH's cats had to be bathed because she jumped in the toilet while he was still peeing.

LOL!!!!
thanks for the input! I'll see if I can get DH to do it
God no. I'd lose an eye.
My aunt and cousins bathe their cats. You have to do it from the beginning for them to tolerate it.

The sad thing is that incident didn't stop him from letting the cats in while he uses the bathroom.
