Will someone talk wagons with me?
Do you have a wagon for your kids? If so, which one do you have and do you like it? I am just wondering if a wagon would be a better option for Idlewild, zoo, festival trips than the double stroller at this point. It's getting pretty hard to push the double stroller with a 2 year old and an almost 4 year old. I think a wagon would be better because they can get in and out by themselves but is it going to be a pain to pull and maneuver. Also, would a 4 year old still be able to fit in a wagon?

yes, a 4 year old can fit into a wagon (but I also think a 4 year old can walk through the zoo or idlewild by themselves) We have a radio flyer one. But we have never taken it anywhere with us because our cars are small. If we need a wheeled device for EJ we just took her stroller because it was more portable. I would not have bought a wagon, but it was a gift. We mostly used it for outside toy storage, a few neighborhood walks, and pulling her around the yard.
I don't know if it would fly with two kids, but I would make the 4 year old walk and bring an umbrella stroller for the little one.

Ditto the others! Our wagon is used for neighborhood walks, pulling around the yard, etc. For things like the zoo or Idlewild, we just bring our umbrella stroller for Garrett (who at this point doesn't need much help getting in and out of it). If I thought we were going somewhere that Mason wouldn't last walking, then I'd bring our ergo carrier as back-up.
For us, a wagon is a pain to maneuver around and also a little big to bring to some of these places. To be honest, when I see people at the zoo, etc. with a wagon, I've never understood how it's convenient!
Ditto Amanda and Emmy - we have a wagon and though I took it to the zoo once; it was a bigger PITA than it was helpful. My 4 yr old walked more than rode in the wagon, so it would have been easier to just bring the damned umbrella stroller for the younger child. And that is what we now do - leave the wagon behind and take the unbrella stroller.
Which sucks, because we paid like $100 for a wagon that basically sits in the garage and gets no use

and ditto Meghan. I always wonder when I see people at the zoo with wagons how they find that convenient.
haha, I had the same thoughts...I had visions of these great rides in the wagon...not so much! we received ours as a gift, so I don't feel too bad about the lack of use. But unless you can find a cheap one at a garage sale or something, I wouldn't bother.
