This kid....mercy!!! The last several days have been rough! She finally slept through the night for the first time last week. I got 2 nights of sleep and she was finally rested and doing good. Then the weekend hit and all he!! broke loose! Her second tooth is working its way through and she is not having it. She gets a snotty nose and nasty cough so she doesn't sleep well at night. And she is just so cranky all day long because she won't or can't sleep.

This teething business is rough...??

Hugs to you! Those days are tough. I always had to repeat "This too shall pass" (I still use the mantra for those days my child is being a brat) and just had a lot of extra cuddle time with her.

Teething sucks! I'm sure you've tried everything you can, but have you done Hylands teething tablets? Humidifier in her room to help with congestion? Propped her mattress to elevate her head some? When all else fails, Tylenol works well for G. And bless you for not STTN for 10 months--I hope this tooth pops through ASAP and you and E get some relief and rest!

Yes to all of it...I broke down tonight and rubbed some rum on her gums. I could feel the second tooth sticking out so I hope it's done with the worst part and that I can get done sleep tonight. Did I mention D is OOT as usual and I am rocking an awesome sinus infection?? Thank goodness D will be home tomorrow for a while.

I am so sorry it is so frustrating. I totally understand and I feel like the hard times are amplified so much when you are doing it alone. My girls had a hard time with teething too. An amber teething necklace helped them a lot though. Hugs, mama!

FYI, Hyland pulled the teething tablets again. Seems people can't control the urge to overdose their children on belladonna. We'll be trying amber necklace with the next baby (when/if there's a next baby!) Nolan still doesn't STTN all the time. I feel your pain. Hope you're both feeling better! Rub some Vicks on her feet and put her socks on. That should help with the cough!

Re: Hyland--people are nuts. And I'd forgotten about Vicks on the feet, that's worked well for G before. We never tried the amber necklaces with G, but I've heard great things about them so we'll be trying them with the next baby!

I guess that explains why I can't find them any more...grr. People are so dumb. I have been putting Vick's on her feet and it sometimes helps with the cough but it doesn't always last the whole night. I am really looking into the amber necklace thing.
