So my great-grandfather died on Monday morning. He was in the hospital having heart problems, but he passed away before they could operate. He would have bee 93 next month, so while it's sad, he had a very full life! I found out on my way to work on Monday, but left and went to be with my grandmother for the day. We started funeral stuff and all that fun.
The funeral is Saturday, but I told work it was tomorrow so I can take another day off to help get stuff ready.
THEN, my cousin (on the same side of the family) called last night to say that her Dr. thinks she has MS. She's 27 with 2 little kids. WTF. I feel so bad and don't even know what to say to her. She lives in KY, so there's not much I can do...but it's just awful.
Well, when it rains it pours, right?
Re: What a week
Unfornuately it does feel like when it rains, it pours!
BIG HUG! But wow, to live 93 years!
Aw Steph! I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandfather.
Hopefully your cousin doesn't have MS. But like Mana said, hopefully science is more advanced now and will be able to make it more manageable.
T&Ps to you!!
Steph I am so sorry about your great-grandfather. But 93 is an age that most people can only hope for. That is seriously impressive.
Im keeping my fingers crossed for your cousin. I have a close friend that was diagnosed at age 25. She manages very well, but she also has very bad periods as well. Thankfully because of technology they have now those periods are also very short.
