Weekend Plans: Possibly going out for a drink for SIL's bday on saturday, then sunday H is going to a golf expo with his friends. I'll probably do some cooking/cleaning/relaxing while he's gone.
Rants: I added H to my health insurance and I have to deduct $ from my paycheck now...that plus my hours getting cut leaves me with next to nothing for a paycheck
Raves: I'm so glad it's friday, and I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow!

Plans: Lots of errands to get done this weekend (I feel like this is the norm for us lately). Tomorrow, we might go watch my SIL's lacrosse game. On Monday, we're meeting with the bank to get pre-approved... Our house hunt is getting serious...ahh!
Rants: Our furbaby woke me up last night and it took me forever to fall back asleep. I am tiiiiired today :-/
Raves: It's my and H's birthday month! (No, I do not celebrate the whole month, but yes, I'm excited our birthdays are near!)
March is a big birthday month in my family anyways since my dad, mom, aunt, and cousin also have birthdays in March
Rants: AF is here and she is making me MISERABLE a lot more than usual. I think I need to schedule an appointment with my OB bad
Raves: My Mom came up for a short visit Wed night-Yesterday. I was worried because she was bringing her dog who's annoying and she's pissed at my Dad, but it went surprisingly well. The pups got a long for the most part and she didn't lay into my Dad too badly.
WP: I'm only working a 1/2 day today, then I'm running some errands and heading to the ILs so FIL can do our taxes. H is meeting me there so I get to see him too! We'll probably try and catch up with some people and then I'll be back Sunday night. But what I'm REALLY excited about is that next week is H's last week of training and we're going away next weekend! I can't wait to stay in a hotel and go out to a really nice dinner!
Do you mind me asking where you're going? H and I want to go away for our anniversary weekend, and we're struggling to pick a place so I'm always looking for ideas
Rants: This has seemed like an unreasonably long week! I've been kinda grumpy the last couple days.. though i'm not sure why.. AF isn't due till like next week so it shouldn't be PMS... i think i'm just grumpy. That combined with hubby's inability to give me a decisive answer on starting trying to conceive has been driving me bonkers!
Raves: It's Friday! Which means weekend! Wooo! I'm just so ready for this weekend! We'll get some more stuff done around our house, which is so near completion now it's scary... once the snow melts we'll just have to do our yard! Annnd I'm very nearly done my first quilt, which is super exciting!
Weekend plans: working on the house, working on my quilt, cleaning, laundry, groceries... all that fun stuff!
Rants: I'm going to be away from H all weekend. We have never been away from each other for more than 1 night since we got engaged.
Raves: I'm getting off work early today!!!!
Weekend Plans: After I get off work I have to run an errand and then rush home to load up my car. We are heading to Dallas for the weekend for a bachelorette party and I am driving. We are going to lunch before we leave town and then driving 3 hours. Tonight we are going to a Kelly Clarkson concert and then dinner. Tomorrow a spa day and lunch at Medieval Times then a lingere shower and dinner and going out. Then Sunday coming home!! I will be so tired and I am trying to think of fake cocktails to drink all weekend even though the bride to be knows.
Weekend plans: studying! I know, super fun. I have my first exam on Monday and I am freaking out a little. SOOOOOO much memorization!
Rants: disappointed I couldn't get tickets to see Justin Timberlake at Fenway Park! Ticketmaster's website is stupid IMO. A second show was added, but I doubt I will be able to get tickets to that one either. If only I was a season ticket holder, I would have tickets already...
Raves: Today feels a little like spring. I know that it's a tease, but we're almost to the end of winter! I'm looking forward to vacation in May
Shirley Temples! Haha. You should be able to get any mixed drink as a non-alcoholic beverage, like Daquiris. Or just drink iced tea and water.
Rants: Just found out my mom has to get a bunch of tests out to check for different things. I know she can't handle any more bad things...I hope they all come out negative.
Raves: Its Friday!
WP : Tonight...not sure we supposed to have date night but not sure what we actually going to do for it. Tomorrow my best friend is 30 so we going out to the melting pot..yummy! Sunday I have my cousin's 30th bday at a skating rink so that is fun.

Are you on the list? We are... H says that he has been offered tix in the EMC Club section, but the price is ridiculous, and it isn't like a real offer, so he keeps his place in line. I have a feeling we won't be offered real tix until we're old and grey! But hey, maybe then we'll be retired, and we can actually go to the games! haha
Rants:
I'm so ready for this week to be over... It felt like the longest week ever, and I woke up late almost every day. This morning, the pup curled up right against me and gave me sad eyes when it was time for me to get up
Raves:
I finally booked a ticket to go to DC with the 'ladies' (my mom, aunt, and cousin are going to visit my other cousin/MOH). So excited! I also got to hang out with my KU SIL and brother, and their friends for trivia. So, outside of work, it was a lovely week, I guess
Weekend Plans:
Not sure about tonight. We haven't really discussed!
Tomorrow will be laundry, and catching up on errands. I'd also like to get to the gym, and get back on track with that. But I hear we may get some snow?
Sunday I have brunch plans with some ladies at work.. We are going to go to the place where one of them just booked her wedding. I had been there to visit for a work function, but never to eat, and I can't wait!
Also? 2 weeks until the NE GTG!

We're just hopping over to Saratoga Springs for a night which is about an hour and a half away from us. I've never been there but I hear there's a cute downtown and we made reservations at a nice restaurant. We weren't looking for a place with a ton to do, just a quiet night away.
I'm definitely bias, but we live in the Berkshires and it would be a great weekend getaway in May! There's a ton to do and amazing places to eat. And we were just listed as one of the most romantic places to visit (along with places in Italy, Spain & France!) And it's not far from CT!
That sounds really nice. I've never been either. You'll have to let me know how you like it.
I love the Berkshires! H's grandparents have a lake house there, and the whole family goes every summer
Anywhere in particular that you would recommend? Ideally I would like to be near the water, so any lake would do the trick!
Plans: Hanging around the house and continue unpacking/ rearranging- Our bed is still on the floor (making me CRAZY) and we got an Ikea couch off Craigslist last weekend for the downstairs movie room that is still laying around in pieces in the garage.
Rants: I'm a little ticked about our poor planning- As previously mentioned in another post, we're super short on furniture and San Francisco has NO second hand furniture stores (aside from the "this is vintage, give us $1200 for it" type). But there is an awesome flea market with tons of steals (or so I've been told) that only happens the first Sunday of the month. And we happen to be broke this Sunday. So now we have to wait a whole month before we can try to get dressers, which means yet another month living out of our suitcases. Bah.
Raves: Crazy superficial, but H sprang for actual cable (we haven't had real cable in more than 10 years) and a dvr and I freaking LOVE it. Feel super lame and behind, but oh man- It's the best ;p

Weekend Plans? Get a few home projects done and clean the house. DHs brother and grandma are coming to see our new house on Monday. I love that everytime someone comes over our house gets really clean!
Rants? I am sick of getting snow one day then rain the next and it all melting. I just want to enjoy snow I'm not ready for spring!
Raves? DH is starting our taxes this weekend! I just want to know what we are going to owe already so we can prepare.
Plans: painting and installing floor/ door moldings.
Raves: it's payday! And they are installing my quartz countertops as we speak.
Rants: I have work tomorrow night. Boo. And I'm sure we will have to go to home depot again for heaven only knows what at some point this weekend.
Plans: I just want to SIT and be VERY STILL...it's been that kind of week. We have to go to the grocery store, but I'm fine with that...I just want to be still...haha
Raves: It is the weekend...I am going to sleep...it will be awesome. Plus, I am all caught up on grading which makes my life so much easier.
Rants: It has been one heck of a week. I had all kinds of student issues, conferences and more...We're half way through this semester and there is already so much drama.
Geez...this is just like my husband. I swear everytime we go into the "city" we have to hit Lowes and Menards. Literally makes me crazy sometimes.....
Plans: tomorrow I have my first class on self-defense. There has been a huge influx of people coming to our area (ND oil boom is being felt in SD too) and have always wanted to take this type of class. My mom and I decided to take it together and I think it will be really interesting. Then we head into the "city" and have a photo session scheduled with our dogs. We haven't taken any professional photos with our furbabies and since they are our babies, we decided we wanted to have really fun ones done. Sunday I think we're hanging cabinets in the garage that was supposed to have gotten done a couple of weeks ago before H had to make a emergency trip to CA.
Rants: this has just been a awful week at work. I don't mind being busy, I kind of thrive on it, but this is nuts. I feel like I became a firefighter this week just putting out every type of fire and problem that could possibly come up. Blah. Next week I have an eerie feeling is going to be just as awful and I have long hours coming. I need a vacation..................................
Raves: SOOOOOO glad it is Friday. Geez, I just need a couple of days to regroup and breath again.
