Watch Beautiful Creatures Online: The biochemistry between Lena Duchannes (performed by Alice Engert) and also Ethan is powerful?and also nice. Watch Beautiful Creatures Movie: I suppose the previous reviewer has a point that there are a lot of cliches in the movie: new odd girl with a secret comes to town, gets picked on by most of the popular kids, but cute boy likes her. Yeah, we've all seen that story many times, but it doesn't mean it's boring. You also have the added elements of magic, good vs. evil and generational curses (all of which could be cliches themselves). The writers took those familiar themes and wove them together with witty dialogue to make what I thought was a very entertaining movie. Next to the acting, my favorite part was the writing. ( Download Beautiful Creatures Movie ) I laughed a lot during the movie, which I didn't really expect going in. I'm the wrong generation and hadn't read the book but I still really enjoyed the movie. As much as I enjoyed it, I can only imagine how much more someone in the right age demographic or a fan of the book would love it.
