Re: Manic Monday
Weekend highs: Reading all day Saturday!
Weekend lows: finding out my niece is back skipping school... so my sister signed her out again. I think she's now living with her crap-tastic bf.
Mana, Im so sorry to hear about your neice. I was hoping this last time was it. That sucks.
Highs- Chris was so awesome with the boys on Saturday. He normally isnt very patient and isnt much of a kid person so this is pretty huge. I know it dosent make a lot of sense since I have a kid, but hes not comfortable around other peoples kids. He was so patient and helpful and supportive. Encouraging them and collecting rouge skiis and poles. The boys were full on balls to the walls all day wanting to go to the biggest runs we would let them. No fear at all. It was actually pretty refreshing.
Lows - We had to go through some crap to get Chase's BFF to be allowed to come with us. Said BFF has never been skiing so we spent a large portion of the day picking him up out of the snow. Neither of the boys could stop or turn so there were lots of crashes. I know they had a great time and didnt want to leave, but its a 2 hour drive and we were exhuasted by 3:30.
Me too.
Highs- Had a nice day at my dads and got to pick out a lot of nice stuff for the spring/summer. They got to play with Annabelle and I got to have a bit of a break from watching her. This is kind of a high and a low but I got pulled over coming back home for speeding but he let me go with a warning. Phew!
Low- Looks like the furlough is happening so were going to have to cut back a bit. We may not be able to get the YMCA membership after all just yet but it will be nice to have H 3 days a week over the summer. Just trying to look on the positive side of it. I'm glad we saved up for the cruise for a long time otherwise i would be feeling super guilty about taking it with the furlough happening.
Well... they can be canceled at anytime if an agreement is made. The bigger deadline is 27th when the continuing resolution expires which will cause a gov't shutdown (emergency furloughs). I also heard they can cancel then in the middle too... so it's really prepare for the worse, hope for the best.
Thats good to know, thanks. H really doesnt even want to talk about it so he doesnt really tell me much.
Eh there's a bunch of ifs. But looks like Rep refuse to accept another tax increase (since they allowed it with the fiscal cliff, well allowing the SS tax break to end) and want spending cuts, either 10% across the top (sequestation) or actually sitting down and figuring out where to cut. The stand-off continues
Me three!
Highs- My parents came over to see M and to tell us that my dads biopsy came back negative. :-)
Lows - nothing really
