Friend Talking about 2nd baby got me thinking???

My friend is trying for her second child and she was talking about what she might need for the next baby. She kept most of her LO's things like DH and I did so there's not a lot she would need for baby #2 unless the child was the opposite gender then she would need clothes. I started thinking about what we might need if we had another one.So I'm wondering what did you end up buying for child #2? Diapers/Wipes? Maybe clothes if baby #2 isn't the same gender as baby #1? Anything else?

    We got another baby book, white noise machine, humidifier, fresh pacis and bottle nipples. I needed more nursing bras and tanks, and some new maternity clothes because most of my wardrobe from my first pregnancy was work-wear, and I am a sahm now. We got a double stroller (sit n stand), and when DS outgrew his infant carseat we needed another convertible carseat because DD was still using hers. Other than the fact that he needed a whole new wardrobe, we didn't buy much when DS was born.

    Our main purchase was a double stroller. I was able to use everything from the first baby and didn't really need anything else. I remember feeling so weird while pregnant with #2 because there wasn't much to get ready. With #1, there was a ton of planning, and we needed so much. With #2 therewas none of that.

    This is going to depend somewhat on the age difference between your kids.  We had to get a new bed for DD1 so DD2 could have the crib.  We got a new carseat for DD1 so DD2 could have the convertible.  We would have had to make both of those purchase eventually, but we did move up the timeline because of the 2nd baby.  Otherwise we got a few new diapers (we use cloth and a few were too worn to make it through a 2nd child) and that's about it.  Eventually we purchased a double stroller b/c I want to start jogging, but we survived for quite awhile with the baby in an ergo and DD1 in the stroller.
