QOTD 3/1

Do you or H do most of the cooking? Is there a meal that either of you are especially good at making

Re: QOTD 3/1

  • I do all the cooking.  H made 1 dinner in the 3 years we've been together.  Actually he owes me a dinner for Eagles beating the Ravens in Sept!  He said he's good at grilling, but we need a grill first.  I make all different stuff... I don't think I'm especially good at one meal.  I do do a lot of italian and mexican...

  • I do a lot more of the cooking. DH probably cooks a couple times a month. He's better at the non-healthy foods, ha, like baked mac and cheese or spaghetti with meat sauce. I tend to be a little more health conscious in my cooking. I don't think DH makes anything with any vegetables in it. ;)

  • I do most of the cooking...I'm a pretty awesome cook (if I do say so myself LOL). I make a lot of Italian food (that's what I grew up with) but I also branch out into making other things as well (asian, mexican, etc). I'm very health conscious, so I make a lot of healthy food and lots of veggies. I also LOVE to bake!

DH can cook too, but usually doesn't have time to. His specialty is french onion soup and, like most guys, grilling.

  • I can sort of cook, if I have a recipe, but H does most of the cooking because he's miles better at it than I am. He makes ridiculously good chili!

  • I do all the cooking. Before we were married my husband would make me birthday desserts and stuff (he actual baked a lot for me before we started dating). He works and I don't so it makes sense for me to cook, plus he can't really make anything without a recipie. I make really good chilis and marinades for meat.

  • I wish my husband would cook, im still waiting for a promised breakfast in bed, 7 years later....still waiting!

I do all the cooking, i would say mostly Italian food as that is what i grew up with. I also like to make sure everything is healthy, that we are eating veggies, etc.

  • I do all the cooking. If H cooked we'd be eating Kraft Dinner or Mr Noodles all the time. I don't know that there's any specific mail I make that is the best. H thinks I'm a better cook than his mother so I guess that means I make somewhat edible things haha.

  • I do most of the cooking.  DH will help me with cutting vegetables and things.  I really like making soups and stews but DH isn't always a fan of them.  DH is great at making eggs though.  I usually burn them so he usually takes over.

  • DH does boxed dinners and anything on the grill.  I do the the rest of the cooking.  Our cooking is pretty 50/50.  He works switch shifts so eating together is difficult sometimes.  He's working from 3pm to 11pm this week so we haven't eaten together at all.

  • I do most of the cooking.  Like other ladies have said, my husband does the grilling and sometimes will make a frozen skillet meal or something like that.  I'm good at making lasagna and even though it's not a meal, cheesecake.

  • I do most of the cooking, almost all. When we met, he said he would cook for me, that he was a great cook. He made a couple of things, and then said I was a much better cook lol He is the only man that has ever cooked more than once for me, has brought me breakfast in bed - and I guess as far as week-end breakfasts is as likely to cook as I am. Last night we cooked together, and that was nice, except he salts way too much! (Kids loved his mashed potatoes, and I threw mine out!)

  • I do 99% of the cooking. I do a lot of pasta dishes, Mexican, and soups/stews. H is good at making grilled cheese and eggs (I always burn both because I'm impatient), so those are his jobs! He used to cook more when we were dating, but never got much beyond spaghetti & meat sauce, sloppy joes from a can, and BBQ chicken in the oven with rice from a packet. That's okay, because I love to cook and I'm pretty good at it (toot toot my horn), so it's a fine compromise. Plus, he does the dishes!
  • I would say it's about 50/50.  At least once a week, we cook together.  H is really good with the crock pot.  He also makes excellent fried chicken.  I think I'm a good cook, but I can't think of anything that stands out that would be best.  I usually follow a recipe.  So does H.
  • i do pretty much all the cooking - DH does the dishes! there are only a few things he can actually cook- pasta/sauce, grilled cheese and frozen skillet meals! lol so we are better off if i just cook!

  • Lately, H has been doing more cooking than me. His specialty would probably be spaghetti or chili. I'm not really sure if I have a signature dish.

I do all of the baking in our house, though. If H needs to bring something to a carry-in at work, he usually asks me to make my snickerdoodle blondies or cookies.

  • I do the cooking... if he does it is chicken fingers or pizza... he can't even boil pasta properly, and being color blind has problems telling if the pork or chicken is still pink in the middle lol

So I cook... lately I have been doing a lot of crock pot meals. The family goes crazy for my stir fry's and lasagna made with homemade sauce.

    I also bake.
