so here's a backstory ...
DH has this unbelievable ability to guess his xmas presents. it's rather annoying. i bought him tickets (before he lost his job) to the jets/miami game at the end of december (i'm a jets fan/he's a miami fan) and without any hinting i am led to believe he knows.
so i am making him work for it. i have scrabble letters that spell out "are you ready for some football" that i will hide throughout the house. i've thought of quite a few spots ...
1. which dirty jobs episode do you feel like watching? (and hide it in one dvd)
2. sparky's food needs refilling (and hide it in the bag of cat food)
3. please replace the toilet paper roll (and hide it with our t.p. stash)
etc.
my brain is tired. i know you have no clue what my house looks like ... but maybe some of your creative suggestions will inspire me.
have some fun with it. where would you hide scrabble tiles? i appreciate any suggestions.
Re: xmas gift scavenger hunt ideas ...
does he cook? maybe put one in a pot and ask him to make dinner one night
what about in his snow boots or gloves or something?
Put one in the trash bags box and ask him to take out the trash and replace the bag in the can.
Hide one in the TV guide and ask him what's on one night (attach the tile with tape to that page)
Put one in the mailbox after the mail goes and ask him to get the mail
Attach one to the steering wheel of his car one night so he finds it in the morning.
Does he drink coffee? Put one in the coffee bag.
This is fun
I'll keep thinking for you.
ooo good ideas! this IS fun!
i'll be hiding the tiles xmas eve or early xmas morn so he cant "accidentally find one and figure it out". i dont know how he would figure it out ... but then again im not sure how he suspects football tickets. i LOVE the mailbox idea, because then he's gotta get shoes and jacket to run out there. anything to prolong the agony.
Since you are hiding them Christmas Eve night can you hang one on the tree and make him find it? You can even wrap a tile as a present.
I can't wait to hear how this goes...be sure to send an update post-Christmas Day!
