Reorg

I am finally reorganizing all my dresser drawers and closet. About 80% of my space is taken up by clothes that no longer fit me (pre pregnancy) and I always dread folding laundry because I know I have nowhere to put things. I always put off putting the stuff away because I think to myself "Oh, you are on your way to losing weight, you will be able to fit in them again any day now" but unless I am losing 20lb in the next month or two (which is not happening) I need to make some space!

Re: Reorg

  • I just took a whole bunch of old clothes that no longer fit to Goodwill yesterday!  I held onto them for a long time thinking that I am going to lose weight and fit back into them.  It hasn't happened yet and I figure if I could fit into them again, I'd still want to go out and get new stuff anyway!  I did feel better after dropping the bags off at Goodwill though!

  • Girl!! I feel ya on the laundry situation. That is the biggest reason I hate doing laundry.

I keep  all our off season clothes in rubbermaid totes. I have a "big girl"  tote that I keep my absolute favorite clothes that I can wear again when Im not such a big girl. I try to keep it to only a few things that I know I wont be able to replace. So I go through them every seasonal clothing change and switch the smaller things out that I know I wont wear again.

I also started switching the clothes hangers backwards on the bar and anything that is still backwards at the end of the season goes to Goodwill.
