What did BH contractions feel like to you?

I THINK I'm having them. To me it mostly feels like period cramps and my stomach is hard, but not rock hard and it lasts for a few minutes at a time.

Re: What did BH contractions feel like to you?

  • Could be, but they shouldn't be hurting a whole lot.  If they keep causing pain or if you get more than 5 in an hour, I would call in.

I honestly can't tell when I have them,  usually.  The couple times I know for sure I had one, my belly felt like a really hard ball.

  • I thought they just felt like a squeezing from the inside. Not painful. Generally concentrated to my lower abdomen, and my belly felt hard also.

  • Mine also felt like squeezing from the inside.  They were not painful and did not last real long.  If they continue to be painful, I would give your OB a call just to be safe.

  • Thank ladies. It's mostly uncomfortable and I'm not even sure if that's what it is.

  • My stomach would get tight. I only ever noticed them in the middle of the night when I woke up to pee. They were never painful.

  • Mine were never painful. I would usually feel breathless with them and have a rock hard belly. Sometimes I didn't even feel squeezing. But they never hurt. I would keep an eye on them.

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
  • wow-- it's amazing how fast you forget this stuff! BHs feel like such a distant memory...  But they were like a stomach tightening.  They didn't hurt, but you could feel my stomach area get hard from the outside.  Changing position or drinking water should make them go away.

  • I know everyone else said theirs weren't painful but sometimes mine were. It was a very hard tightening of my stomach and occasionally it hurt.
