So I am being optimistic that this will be the last of the season's snow. But boy was it pretty to look out into my yard this morning to see the softly lit blanket of snow covering everything (like the mud and excessive dog poo). We only ended up with about 4 inches and the roads seemed fine so I came into work. Kev was told his meeting was canceled and to work at home. lucky duck! Though if I had been home too I think EJ would have REALLY resisted going to school over staying home and playing in the snow.
How did everyone else fair?
Re: Snow day!
LOL at Meghan!!!
Um, yeah....I was like, oh look it's pretty....ok, moment over, time to melt. The plow didn't come through our neighborhood until 7:20, so I just got into work about 20 minutes ago (I'm usually here at 7:40) and so far, I'm the only here in my office. we got maybe 6 inches? there was quite a bit out there, but the main roads were fine.

Once I got to the main roads, it was fine. Our street wasn't plowed but Shaler cancelled schooled so there was no rush I am sure.
I have to say, that I love the drive from the West End to Crafton when it snows, it is so pretty and serene.
I am also glad it snowed today and not on Saturday. When we planned a March shower for my sister, my biggest fear was a huge snow storm.
Do you drive through the west end circle and up main street to Nobelstown Rd? I love that hill in the snow too, it is really pretty
) I like it in the summer too, while it is covered in green leaves. West Liberty doesn't give me the same warm fuzzy feelings.
Yep! Best part of my drive, it is so peaceful.
I totally agree with all of this. Logan had a doctor's appointment this morning (think I can take time off for stuff like that? HA!), so he and Tim were snuggling on the couch since they had extra time before the appointment. Jealous? Me? Never. I was glad the roads were fine coming into town though.
I'm so annoyed j had to take a day off for my first snow day as a PPS parent. I need some sort of pkan with other parents for days like this. We rotate days off & watch each others kids.
on the bright sude, I just woke from a nap while snuggling j on the couch. He played games on iPad & I slept. Getting ready to go to gym. Taking advantage of the unplanned day off
I am already starting to see grass! If the kids can't go out later they are going to be heartbroken
this... Eleni will be pretty sad to not get one last chance to hit me with a snowball
6 inches up north here and was not happy to learn 10 minutes before leaving to take Gavin to the bus that school was closed. No reason for it as the roads were fine!
Bright side, though, is they makup day will probably be to shorten Easter break - one less day to pay for childcare for him. (I can;t find anything brighter to say b/c #1 and #2 were awful today!)
My three sons!
