St. louis with kids??

Anyone know what would be fun to do in St. Louis with two young kids (3 & 5)? We're going in late spring or early summer. We live in LA so have a lot of city stuff to do here but curious if there is anything really great that we shouldn't miss.

Re: St. louis with kids??

  • Cardinals game, Forest Park, Zoo, City Museum, Arch

    There is a ton of stuff to do with kids! Our zoo is free; you have to pay to park and do stuff like ride the train but admission is free. Check out Grant's Farm- you can feed goats and llamas, catch a bird or elephant show, ride the carousel, but most importantly, you get two free 12 oz "samples" of various Anheuser Busch products. My 3 and 5 year olds absolutely love the Magic House, which is our children's museum. Don't miss the Arch. I took them up in it last November and they're still talking about it. Forest Park Boat House is a fun place to eat. The food is good but it's the setting that makes it great.

    I agree with all of these.  The City Museum can also be a great stop as well that has activites for both kids and adults.  I would also recommend the Science Center (near Forest Park and the Zoo)

  • People gave a lot of good answers.  Absolutely the zoo-one of the top zoos in the country and its' free.  You do NOT need to pay to park, just get there early and park on one of the streets in Forest Park.  Also the Children's Zoo is free for the first hour after opening and the carosel is free for the first hour after it opens.

    Also in Forest Park-the Art Museum and the Science Center, both free.  The Boathouse is a fun restaurant.  I don't particularly like the History Museum but it is also free.

    While I love City Museum I find it stressful with young kids, just be forewarned if you decide to go.

    Magic House is awesome for young kids (google St. Louis Attractions card to find a discount).  Grant's Farm is also very fun.

  • For young kids such as yours, these are some places they may like:

    * St. Luis Zoo

    * The Magic House

    * Grant?s Farm

    * City Museum

    * The Gateway Arch

    Celebrate life and love with a romantic anniversary room package at any Hotel, B&B, or Vacation Rental in the U.S.
  • Thanks everyone! We will definitely have plenty to do. I can't wait to go.
