So things have been crazy the past few days and I have been meaning to update you ladies. As you know before getting pregnant I was on metformin and I have PCOS. So we got pregnant and the doctor said everything was great. However they are worried about me developing gestational diabetes so the plan has been to monitor me closly.
Friday I get a call and the nurse says they got my blood work back and have some concerns while my sugar levels were great for that day but they could tell there were some issues. So they were referring me to another doctor but I would still be staying with them. So basically I will be seeing 2 doctors. Well today comes along and I wake up with spotting so I called my doctor and they ask me to come in. I also tell them that other doctor hasn't called me yet so they give me his name and of course I look him up.
He is a maternal fetal medicine doctor which means he is a high risk pregnancy doctor. So now I am waiting on my appointment today to make sure everything is good. And I'm waiting on the specialist to call me with that appointment. I will give you an update later after my appointment today.
I could use some good nestie vibes and T&P's!!!

Christine- it was bright red first thing this morning but has since stopped.
The doctor said everything looked good. We got another ultrasound and got to see and hear the heart beat it was 129 beats per min. They said everything looked good I just need to rest and relax also no lifting and watch my blood pressure since it's kind of high.
Also the specialist is supposed to call me but they are saying it will be late April before I get an appointment. I also have another appointment Tues which was scheduled to be heart beat day but now it will just be to check everything since we had an issue today.
Wow, how scary, I'm glad everything looked good.

I'm so glad and relieved that everything is ok. That had to be awful and scary.
I've read where other PCOS ladies have had trouble with diabetes during pregnancy and that it is something you have to really monitor. I already have diabetes which just added to my PCOS troubles.
It seems odd to me that you cannot get in to see a specialist until April if you are experiencing some issues right now. What type of specialist is this again?
Just take good care of yourself and that beautiful baby. This might be just the perfect excuse you need to tell your Hubby it's time he wined you and dined you! Sending you all the best nestie vibes for you.
It's a high risk specialist basically meaning this is a high risk pregnancy. Which I would think would make me a priority. However we apparently only have like 3 doctors in the area who handle high risk.
That has to be comforting. A high risk pregnancy can't get in to see a high risk specialist. And this is why our healthcare system is screwed up!
