Did everyone enjoy the nice weather?!?
What a perfect weather weekend! Did everyone get to take advantage of it?
We had Mason's birthday party yesterday, it was indoors but at a local park, so it was a nice bonus that the kids could go outside as well. It was so much fun to be able to break the bikes out and get some walks and outdoor play time in this weekend. I am so ready for spring!!! Although I see some flurries are headed our way this week...boo!
(On a side note, if anyone is looking for a place to hold a party in the North Hills, I would definitely recommend Evergreen Community Park. They have a nice indoor facility w/a kitchen to rent.)
Re: Did everyone enjoy the nice weather?!?
Yes! Yesterday we broke out our bikes and Burley Bee for the first time this year. We went a little over 8 miles on the Panhandle Trail, and boy am I feeling it today!
I'm definitely looking forward to some more days like yesterday!
I got so much sun. I ran into someone at work that I hadn't seen in a few months, and she asked if I just got back from the beach. I love sunny weather.
We took the kids to the park both days, and walked to Shadyside yesterday. It was the first time we allowed Jackson to scooter there and back with us, and he was so excited about it. Michael was all bitter that he wasn't scootering there as well and had to walk, so he decided that he would push his stroller the whole time--for most of the walk, Steve was just holding on to guide/direct it.
Michael still refuses to nap for us, but he was down for the count around 7:30 last night...normally he wakes and ends up in our bed around 3. not last night, he didn't even move until around 6 this morning.
So nice! We had Kaitlin's shower on Saturday and it was so nice that we didn't have to worry about snow which I was a bit panicked about when we planned this in August! It was a ton of fun, so much that we forgot to get pictures.
Yesterday, I attempted to clean our carpets but alas our carpet steamer has died. So I spent the day scrubbing by hand then sucking it up with the cleaner since that still worked
Oh I loved it! I love being able to be outside and get the kids out! What a difference it makes! I cannot wait until its this weather everyday!
Anyone have any different ideas for playing outside in the yard besides bikes, bubbles, scooters, swing set?
It did make such a difference! Nobody whined all day! Other than the toys you listed the girls have a grill (little tikes), cozy coupe and t-ball.
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
