Good Morning, ladies!

How was your weekend? And, how is everyone adjusting to the time change?

While I am not a big fan of Daylight Saving Time (I think it's a pretty antiquated concept), my family seems to have adjusted just fine. Probably helps that my kids were so exhausted on Saturday that I put them to bed an hour early! I did have to wake up my daughter this morning to get her ready for school, but she seemed to be just about ready to wake up on her own.

We had a nice weekend. The whole family went outside and played in the snow on Saturday. My husband and the kids were sledding down the hill in front of our house, and then they helped me make some snow sculptures. Sunday, we went to church, and then went out for lunch.

We ended up going to the furniture store to take advantage of their sale, but didn't find a bookcase that we liked. So, I'm still searching for the perfect bookcase for our DVDs, video games, and some of our books, but one with (sliding) doors, to hopefully keep everything neat inside. I may have to order a custom piece to meet my requirements.

    Good morning!

I also think DST is sort of pointless now. But whatever - it now means Tynan sleeps until 6 or 6:30 like we want instead of 5 or 5:30. I'll be cursing it in the fall for sure, though.

We had a busy weekend, and DS was a little rowdy the whole time. We did our best to get him to run off energy, but he was just a little ball of energy and tantrums.

This is my last week of maternity leave, and I'm seriously bummed. I was ready to go back after 12 weeks off with DS, but with DD I stopped work at 39 weeks, she didn't come until 41, and so I only have 10 weeks with her. That and not going back to a job I'm excited about has me down.

I'm doing a trial run of pumping and bottle feeding today and I just hate it. It's so much work! So far so good, though.

I'm working on a leprechaun costume for DS for daycare on Friday. I love crafting costumes! He's going to look so cute. Hopefully I can get a good picture of it to share!

Alicia, have you tried Christmas Tree shops? 2 weeks ago I got a flyer with 2 bookcases of different sizes with sliding glass doors. No idea if they have the same things up your way, or what color wood/size you're looking for, but they did look nice! The shorter, wider one was unfortunately a little too big for what we needed.

  • I haven't checked CST yet. I will give it a shot this week though! Thanks for the heads up, Amy.
