Safe Haven

Who has seen it?  I admit, I wish I had some tissues with me.

I really loved the movie!! I did not read the book but was wondering about the character Jo, who was Alex's deceased wife. Was she just a figment of Katie's imagination and helping her along the way?

  • The way I understood it was, the wife was a ghost?   Towards the end when she said its time for her to go, seemed like she stayed around to make sure her husband meets someone again, and the children have a mother figure?

Yes, she was supposed to have been a spirit who helped guide her.

  • I thought Julianne Hough's character was so unlikeable! Also, why did the neighbor who helped her get away act like she didn't know who she was when the cop/husband came to her door when they were neighbors? Did I miss something there? It showed her house was across the street from theirs so clearly she would have known the cop.
