The guy now famous for wresting a shark away from children in Australia? Turns out he was 12 months into his paid "stress leave" from the charity he worked for in Britain. His wife vacationing with him in Oz had also taken sick leave from the same charity to go on this holiday.

The charity fired him (and rightly so), but I still can't believe it. 12 months of paid sick leave but you can go to Australia and nimbly wrestle a shark?

  • Perhaps shark wrestkling is a stress reliever? 

     

  • As an American, I freely admit I don't understand British leave policies.

    It would be nice if we just got a reasonable amount of Maternity/Paternity leave here.

    -My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules. -This might be the one place on the internet where it's feasible someone would pretend to be an Adult Man.
