Moms question about 5 year olds (& kindergarten stuff)

It is SO slow so figured I'd post. First, those with 5 year olds or whose kid is older...how is 5? I've heard the odd years are harder than the even years! And I've found that true so far although I can't imagine anything as bad as 3!! But the 3 year old posts got me thinking about 5. 4 has been great and dd has been so sweet lately. Just wondering what others have experiences with 5?? I'm hoping she's not going to change in a couple months!!

and how is everyone doing with kindergarten stuff? I know there are a lot of us with kids starting in the fall and we were all talking about it a few months ago. We haven't had registration yet. Ours is in a couple weeks. They mail out all the info and sure enough they either didn't send ours or it got lost because we never received it. So I had to bug them about it! Seriously why can't this stuff be online?!?! We did register for after school care so hopefully we get AM kindergarten. We don't find out placement till July!  I hate this whole process already!

  • I think overall we have found the odd years to be harder than the even years, too, but 5 is definitely not as hard as 3 was. I think in some ways it was harder for us because we had a 3 year old

  • Five has been much better than four from our experience, but she's been challenging us lately. She just seems bored and restless, and I don't know that half-day kindergarten is going to help much (and of course it's still months away)! She is also very
