I got a call out of the blue from a company I submitted my resume to back in 2011! Did a phone interview, filled out an application, then had an in person interview all in one week, last week! I just got a call today and was offered the position! I will get it only if I pass the background check (worries me because my credit isn't great). Then if that turns out ok I have to have medical tests done (ex: TB) and pass those (I would be working in hospitals). I really want this job. It comes at the perfect time, would be really rewarding and it's doing something I love (photography)!
Ladies I would appreciate al the thoughts and prayers I could get. Im so nervous and excited!

They can't not hire you because of your credit, can they?? I thought the background check was more to make sure you didn't have a criminal history.

Curls, I don't know for certain. But it's a clue to see if you would be a reliable employee. I do know a fair amount of employers will look at a persons social media sites before hiring them now. And as far as I know I have no criminal background. If I do I would like to know because that would be news to me!

A couple positions at my work need to have background checks + credit pulled. It's not our choice, it's the government. One guy was on the edge with his credit score, but we fought it and they okay'd it.

Good luck! On one hand, it doesn't seem right to be able to use a credit check to hire an employee, but I guess if someone might be dealing with your finances, you want to know that they can handle money properly.
But... people get into situations and they still need jobs!
Is it with the company that takes the baby pictures (I won't say the name in case you're afraid it will lead back to here)? Just curious!

So, I was wondering and going to ask how photography + hospital went together. I didn't even think of baby pics.. duh!! And what are you still doing here, you need to have that baby!!!

LoL! I'm on it! And you should see the ridiculous amount of accessories I have packed for those hospital baby pics!
Knitted hats, a tutu, headbands... it's going to be a fashion shoot!
