any recommendations for great restaurants to try in vegas? moderately priced and good food. thanks!

Mon Ami Gabi, Julian Serrano, SushiSamba, Stack, LAVO, Morel's (really good brunch). Serendipity 3 and Sugar Factory for something more casual. Holstein's was really good for lunch (I really liked the boozy milkshake I had there). BLT Burger is also OK
I will 2nd Holsteins. Probably one of my favorite, descently priced, restaurants in Vegas. You have to get one of their boozy milkshakes too.
There's also Stripburger that is pretty good too, and about that same price. We also liked Wolfgan
