Crib Matresses

Anyone want to recommend theirs? Or a type? (Foam, inner spring... something else?) We got LT's crib and I am finally getting to put together his nursery.. but I'm hung up on the mattress for whatever reason!

Re: Crib Matresses

  • Go with a foam mattress.  They're a lot lighter than the spring mattresses which makes changing sheets a lot easier.  I don't really have a recommendation, but I bought a $35 mattress from Walmart that has an infant side and a toddler side. &nbs

  • I also recommend foam. Super easy to change the sheets.

I went with something that had the green seal certification, and let the mattress air out a few days in a ventilated space before letting LO use it.

I got this one from BRU. I wanted a foam mattress with low emissions. It is pretty lightweight, doesn't seem to sag and fits our crib perfectly. I got it on sale.

  • Thanks everyone! I meant to come back earlier- just got caught up looking at fabric for my 800 projects.... I'll get looking at foam since that seems to be the general consensus! I'm not ready to move LT out of my room quite yet so I'll be sure to air it

  • We are using a foam mattress that came with our crib (Graco Lauren from Walmart).  A has been using it for awhile now and we are very happy with it.
