Hello ladies,
I have a friend who, after 8 years at home post-college, is moving out on her own on Feb. 1st. She has a little girl (2 yrs. old) and is in need of literally EVERYTHING for her new place. She has hers and her daughter's bedroom furniture and dishes, but beyond that needs everything. Is anyone getting rid of stuff that's still in good shape? Obviously the more free stuff the better, but she has money saved up for this...TIA!!!
Re: can you help?
A friend of mine was in a similar situation and moving into her first apartment. A group of us just went together and threw her a housewarming party and got her basic stuff to help her out. Could you do that?
let me know, too. there are quite a few things I"d rather just give away than cart down to yexas. i have an almost new vaccum for one thing. Dh bought us a Dyson Animal for texas, so we don't need two. I've only had it a couple of months. Also 2 solid wood end tables that had a couple corners gently chewed and a few kitty scratches, but on on the whole still good condition. my mom might have a few things as well. Let me know. Oh, i also have a tall dresser that is Dh, he may part with it, i was going to refinish it, but never did. it would need to be though,

I just gave all of my stuff to the inlaws! Crap! I could have furnished most of the house.
Ditto Craigslist...great deals there.
We have some glasses that I would be willing to give her.
Let me think some more and I may be able to come up with some other things!
